I just called the admissions office for info, was on hold 5 minutes, talked to a really nice guy … but was provided no useful info. Asked if people would be notified today & if OOS would hear later than IS … was told “not necessarily, the committee is pulling names off the list from the different schools and will notify throughout the month.” Anyone else getting any more definitive info?
Gah, I wish they’d at least give us a date or something 
And no one’s been reporting any of the strange glitches that last year experienced… they could have fixed it all this year but still… there’s no definite proof that the decisions are coming out today. fml.
But seeing as they also did not notify the engineering students early last year, this means that they either are not releasing things in waves this year, or they are and they are incredibly small. Or something.

I would not be surprised if the people answering phone calls are not involved in the wait-list admission process. I highly doubt every single admission officer would accept students from the wait-list, and I think the odds of us calling an officer who reads wait-list applications are low.
@soulpup Agreed. Still doesn’t make me any less desperate, though.
In any case, there’s still 20-40 more minutes of waiting. If there’s nothing after that, I’ll just have to assume that either there is no wave today or they aren’t accepting applicants in waves but rather small groups.

decisions did come out at around 4:30ish when we all got waitlisted

the worst part is that when someone here called they said some people have already been notified… makes me think that the yield was high this year so there aren’t many spots for us
