Guys don’t speculate too much about things that happened last year and glitches in the system, blah blah blah. Just be patient, we all have to :))
I’ve heard that if you don’t get notified within the first week of May, you can assume you’ve been rejected. Is this true?
@rjot721 definitely not dude
We shouldn’t compare ourselves to last year, because last year the results were out earlier.
I just want to know. It’s the not knowing thats killing me
I’m surprised that they didnt release stuff today because usually schools want to fill their class ASAP
Anyone know the acceptance rate this year?
Kinda strange that some decisions were released and that no one on here has heard anything back??
im irritated
Who even knows if they will start tomorrow either
I’m assuming that the wave has started, but it’s just that no one here got off the WL yet…?
@0ffdaboat No one on college confidential? That sucks
ok guys i just looked through the thread from 2015 (two years ago) and they had the same issue as us but their first wave was May 6th. I think the first wave will be out by Friday hopefully! But for now we gotta be patient
Well, I hope the waitlist acceptance rate isn’t like 2015’s where it was 20%.
I think decisions will be released every Friday this month to avoid phone calls immediately after releasing waitlist decisions.
We all have to remember that less than 2/3 of high school graduates to go on to continue education. Here we are complaining about receiving a conditional offer from the best public school when there is still one third of people who do not see the value or cannot afford to go to college. We all need to relax and feel lucky that we have the possibility of attending Berkeley and if that doesn’t work out we will still be able to pursue our educational endeavors.
Been lurking this thread for quite a while now lol. I asked the admissions account on Twitter about the waitlist, and this is what they said: “We’re estimating those on frosh wait list to know by start of June. We can’t say at this time if they’ll go in waves or not.”
@BronzeBear Great advice!
Is there any correlation between the frosh and transfer waitlist? I honestly think it’s time for me to put a hold on getting my hopes up for a while.
I won’t be pessimistic until I hear news of the first wave beginning because when that happens, I’ll know that I’m not getting in haha.
