But if the first wave didn’t happen, why would the admission office ppl say some were already notified?
No one knows what was the question asked to admission and what was the exact answer… it might be transfer too… how is it possible that none of the CC ppl got notified… when it is common belief that CC is filled with better stats ppl…
Yup. I went to Cal Day. Asked 2 different admission people. Got 2 different answers. Cal is a big place, sometimes the right hand probably doesn’t know what the left hand is doing.
ok I just called Berkeley admissions office and the lady was very nice and said that the first wave of wait listed students has NOT gone out yet and it may today at 4pm pst but she does not know for sure because “they” havent told them.

So UCLA takes OOS and Intl first. Does Cal do the same?
Also, the waves are different for each college it seems???
hey guys, I’m also a waitlisted freshman.
I called undergrad admissions and the undergrad admissions office is closed from 11 AM to 1 PM. This is sorta weird, because their timings are from 9 AM to 12 PM and and 1 PM to 4 PM.
I wonder what’s going on…

@hedidit2015, I heard from Cal alums that because of their size, dealing with administration related stuff often can be very confusing and frustrating. Consider this as a sneak preview for what you are going to get as student at Berkeley.
Having said that, I think we just have to be patient and not overly anxious. Their admin is just bloated, I think. We should not think to much into it. There is nothing you can do other than wait. It’s nice weather in california. go out and smell the superbloom 
Their official line is that we all will hear something by June 1st 8-|
