@USUG21 Hey :D. Intl engineering as well (EECS), chances are probably as bad as yours (you’re undec if I’m not mistaken?). Check if your waitlist notification letter and waitlist FAQ have a “Download PDF” link on the top right and bottom (beside Return to Application Status). It could be otherwise too: they finalized my application to not be admitted so they released PDFs… just don’t know what to feel.
*Also I’m not sure if the front page changed, it feels different to me but it could be also the stress making me forget things?

INSTRUCTIONS EVERY ONE PLEASE READ IF YOU’RE CONFUSED:
Q: How to get your berkeley email and Cal Net Id?
A: Go to your cal central and check your to-do list. Make both. ( I believe you need to do one first before the other, sorry i don’t remember the order–but you can figure it out). **Be sure to check your cal central profile and see that your berkeley email is on the notification center.
Q: How do I apply for housing as FPF?
A: Choose fall. Go to https://portal.housing.berkeley.edu/ ( You can only complete up to housing phase 1)** You will pay about $25.00 (At least that’s what I paid). And you will get a confirmation email that you applied for housing. You will not know if you got the dorm of your choosing until Early June. You need your cal net ID before applying. Something to keep in mind: Check the prices of dorms before you choose. You also want variety in preferences. Your last option has to be: "Any room, Any building " Or else you are not in the priority selection.
Q: What else should I do?
A: There are other things on your to-do list that are easy to complete on your own->
Cal net id photo submit ( This is where you are asked to submit a photo for your cal net id card that you will end up using for cal net debit card or meal plan card, etc Guidelines for photos will be provided, ( basically the same ones asked from ACT/SAT). You will be given notification through email if the photo was not approved. If it was, the taks will be considered complete in 2-3days, and your cal net will have that as your profile picture.
TB Questionnaire. ( YOU NEED A CAL NET ID TO DO THIS) Click this task and head to etang login. You can go to that site by clicking the task, then clicking immunizations, scroll down to the blue link where it says: “Ready to begin? Go to etang>>” Go to forms tab. Complete all the required forms. They need to know your health history and personal information about you, and have permission to care over you through their insurance etc, etc. IF you do not see the TB questionnaire form in all the forms you have required go to: https://uhs.berkeley.edu/faqs-immunizations-requirements
Submit Immunizations.Click the task immunizations, click immunizations box, scroll down to the blue link where it says: " Ready to begin? Go to etang>>" Go to the Immunization/TB upload tab. This is where you would send photos of your immunizations record and document of you being tested for TB. If you have TB the form should say you got a vaccination to ensure you’re not infectious. If you don’t have TB the document should say you have been tested negative for TB. You should scan your immunizations and TB document and upload it that way. This takes 2-3days. So be patient and check through your immunization record tab or cal central to-do list to ensure they got it.
AC Transit. You just approve the document. It’s free transportation (Bus). This task is shown on cal central to-do list. Easy to do.
TIV Release. Check your cal central and go to your "My finances" tab, if you need to fill this out, you will see it somewhere in your finances tab. It's to authorize them to give you the financial aid on the given term.
Parent information form. This ask very basic information about your parents. Easy to do. This task is shown on cal central to-do list.
( ONLY APPLIES IF YOU DON'T WANT BERKELEY INSURANCE PLAN, AND YOU HAVE YOUR OWN MAJOR INSURANCE PLAN) On your cal central portal (Next to your to-do list)-> where your notifications are. you will soon see Student Health Insurance Plan. If you plan to have a major insurance plan instead of berkeley insurance plan, click that so you can send Berkeley SHIP.
New orientation date for FPF students: soon you will see a notification on your cal central. The new orientation date for us golden bears: August 15th-22nd .

8) THIS ONLY APLLIES TO THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT THE BERKELEY STUDENT HEALTH PLAN INSURANCE! AND THEY HAVE THEIR OWN MAJOR PLAN INSURANCE. Sooner or later you will see new notifications on your cal central: “Student health insurance plan” READ IT. You need to fill out a form called Berkeley SHIP. To let them know.

I know sentiments about intl students at a public school like Cal aren’t positive at all times but I just want to say that I’m ready to give California–and the US–my best if I get admitted.

@USUG21 it was not there; I can confirm. Could just be a insignificant update though. I think @1989swiftie is OOS L&S. so it seems possible that OOS and intl people are starting to get attention.
I am not really sure how the front page changed, could be that I remembered it wrong. It now says Application Decisions and Important Updates above the button to the notification letter, which–if I remember correctly–wasn’t there before (not really sure though).
Wasn’t asked for LOR, but I saw the few pages detailing LORs before entering the portal a few days ago.
Then again we can only speculate. @layanstar1 mentioned that Berkeley has already sent out offers to waitlisted students… so there’s that.
The wording is awkward though; can you post a link to a screenshot of it?
@layanstar1 r u international ? Did u specifically ask about oos or international ? Because when any one calls them by default they must be thinkng that its IS…
