Has anyone received a weird message saying “You are not allowed to view this page” when trying to create your CalNet ID? The deadline to apply for housing is this Tuesday, and it takes up to 24 hours for your CalNet ID to activate. If anyone has any information, please share. I’m very concerned.
@jahvascript Hi, if you have created your calnet id can you tell me the procedure? thanks
@jahvascript - There is a glitch. Are you traditional fall admit or FPF?
@irvinefoodie @CS2021 I’ve created my CalNet ID.
@irvinefoodie If you have not yet claimed your CalNet ID, check your task manager in Cal Central. Then click the button prompting you to get your CalNet ID. Just login with your Map@Berkeley login; the rest is pretty straight-forward.
Has anyone accepted from the waitlist been offered housing already? If so, where? I know they sent out housing offers today.
@jahvascript portal.housing.berkeley.edu (the same place where you applied for your housing). They should’ve also sent an email to your @berkeley.edu account.
I haven’t received a housing offer yet. It still says “apply for housing” under tasks on my calcentral even though I already applied 2 days ago. I know that the due date is today so I was just wondering if I should be worried or not.
I got off the waitlist in the first round and I have received a housing offer.
I noticed that the housing offers were released yesterday. My son is still deciding whether or not to accept the offer for FPF SF. He has until 11:59 tonight (nothing like waiting until the last minute. ;-)) If he SIR to UCB today, what will be his housing options?
@tasmom I’m not sure how your son’s position will work, but for most of us who were admitted off of the waitlist, the deadline for applying for housing was the same as our SIR deadline. This might mean that your son will have to apply for housing and not be prioritized (since the majority of housing offers have already come out and there is a very little chance that both your SIR and your Cal ID email can process in their system before 11:59).
If he accepts it, I would just try to complete the housing application ASAP and also call the housing department ASAP.
@jliu30 The housing offer took a couple days for it to disappear from CalCentral for me. Don’t worry about that - as long as the housing application portal that it’s completed, then it’s completed.
Did any accepted waitlist student get an admission packet in the mail?
Yea ^
@woakley5 @thenewstyped I got off of the waitlist 1st round and haven’t gotten an admission packet. I’m an international student, though. Should I ask about this?
@SpicyRamen Thanks for the response.
I am currently registered for FPF SF, but i hear that it is a total scam. Do you guys think I should do it? Or should i just go to community college for the first semester and then start Berkeley in January. Feel free to leave some positives and negatives on the SF program. Thanks.
Just to confirm, wait-list offers have all been made and it’s basically over for anybody who hasn’t received an offer right?
@StoRm49 Some people on this thread said so, and if they are correct, I suppose its over. Either way, I am trying to keep the hope down and to move on cuz the chance of getting off the waitlist seems extremely little at this point.
@StoRm49 technically there could still be an offer out there before the 1st June, but like @Arabergro said, just about every offer has already given out and I would also start embracing other schools. You’ll get a final decision on the 1st, though.
Alright thanks guys. That’s really useful. Best of luck to us all and let’s see what happens. Lol it’s been real.
