has anyone ever gotten the id then gotten waitlisted or even rejected? i really dont wanna get my hopes up.. especially with the volume of people who have the id not really corresponding to the acceptance rate

I have the ID. No affiliation with Berkeley, no dual degree. Is there any chance they couldāve taken back my acceptance/ waitlisted me??? Since Monday Iāve been in disbelief coz I have a 3.3uw/3.6w (extenuating circumstances, no upward trend, really good ECs). Itās hard to believe someone like me got accepted and Iām scared that this isnāt real. I applied for LS American studies, and art history second choice. Ik Berkeley is a crazy cracked institution and I canāt wrap my head around how I got rejected at every UC but here

Iām reading that forums like CC and Reddit are a biased sample and ofc more people are gonna have IDs coz weāre all lowkey cracked/ put more effort in. Also people might just not wanna say that they donāt have an ID too.
I also have an ID and Iām just in disbelief.

lol i have a 3.8 uw 4.17 w, rejected at every uc except sc, so im also surprised, but they really prioritize piqās and love well written essays. you must be a great writer then! but we should wait until the actual decision..

by dual degree applicant, you mean like the partner university stuff like in hong kong or sciences po rightānot concurrent degrees like MET?

not an impacted major so chances are pretty high either way!
If you truly have ID showing, with no prior connection, iād bet you are 100% in. But youāll know for sure tomorrow.
Just like a theoretical question to throw it out there, could there be any reason why Cal hasnāt patched this for like 6 years? Is it actually a tradition now?

Iām guessing so ā¦ Berkeley has always been kinda mysterious haha. heard after UCLA drops they just āsecretlyā do it after. Plus they edge us with emails before the decision even came out. Iām placing three cents it might be for hype
I do not have the ID. That being said, I did not originally apply for MET in my UC application. I only changed my major through the Cal portal on December 14. At the time, the option to select MET was locked out, so I did some inspect element to re-enable that option. After I submitted, I got the MET supplemental essay form and the video. I submitted those two on time. I do not know if I was considered for MET or not, so take this with a grain of salt.

I hope you are right! Seems to be so bizarre that this is even possible. I guess I am a skeptical mom!
guys is CalCentral under maintenance or something? Two of my friends who previous could log in and have their IDs now cannot. It says Not Authorized??? ā ā ā
I am super nervous about the summer program and having an id. Are there any more ppl with student page (with Id) vs . Alumni page? Please please respond if that means anything.
