UC Berkeley 2025 Portal Astrology Discussion

any sources for this?

To me it seems like the only logical explanation for the small # of id changes. Also, if we take the SIS draws from the Admit data as true, it would make sense that those being added to the admit data pool are recieving ids at this point.

There is no way they purposely “remove” someone’s ID from the database. They wouldn’t assign specific ID numbers to those they plan to reject or waitlist—why do twice the work?

Could you link me to the SIS draws? I can’t see in the data what you are mentioning.

around 13k people should be recieving id’s in that case, server overloading that many ID’s continuously would crash their servers, the other logical reason which I would think they update ID’s leading up to admission date is so that it can be done without any technical errors

Can anyone who did Berkeley summer sessions program reply or message me if your Calcentral homepage (using CalNet Id they gave u during program, not to be confused with ur MAP login) is an alumni homepage or a student homepage. Campus solutions ID doesn’t apply to us, and I think this homepage could be an indicator

Some people seem to have lost access to their ids, while others don’t but still get a decision other than accept. Imo that would mean they are in the tiny fraction of admits who get their acceptance reconsidered during the class finalization phase.

Additionally, loading 13k< ids should not be as much of an issue as one believes. Other colleges like NYU reportedly upload all their housing/admission data at once (see nyu portal astrology 2025), so it is not unreasonable to assume cal is capable of doing the same.

Im just making an educated guess though, the reason why some regent’s have 3041 ids could also be allotted to each year having a specific few id designations (ex: 3040, 3041) and are then randomly or procedurally filled in, without chronological influence.

I registered today to re you. same situation same boat here. Added this here hopefully can help the later ppl.

  1. Attended Summer program 2023 (issued 3039~~~ ID)
  2. Logged in using the old log in Sept 2024, screen shown: My Alumni Homepage. All
the other access was blocked back in Sept 2024.
  3. I was not aware this astrology thing until this Saturday 3/22/25.
  4. Logged in using the new log in via the link posted here(3/22/25), screen shown: my
3039~~~ ID (same as the Summer program ID), not an Alumni homepage anymore
(like a couple of others mentioned above this post shown Alumni homepage), but a
standard of My Homepage (exactly the same as the others never attended/applied
    UCB summer program).
  5. Tried to log in with the old log in, was not allowed anymore.

PS, based on a Chinese forum from 2024, a student attended summer program 2023, got an ID and an Alumni Homepage screen in late March 2024, his result was rejected.

PPS, I am crossing figure but really dare not hoping big or dreaming big, rejected by UCLA, waitlisted UCI UCSD UCSB, accepted UCR UCD CMU and a couple of OOS similar to UCI/UCSD schools (I love you CMU!)

Thank you for the responses. I would hate to get his hopes up and will just wait and see what comes on Thursday–he has no clue there might be a “tell”. We are trying to figure out when to tour some of the other schools he’s gotten into and were planning to travel to a different part of the state the weekend of Cal Day, assuming he’d get a rejection or maybe be waitlisted. I guess now we’ll hold off on finalizing those plans in case the portal astrology is correct! He would be absolutely stunned to get in.

also, my email that i used to apply to summer sessions last year is different than the one i used to apply to berkeley. can someone please tell me what this means. did i get in? r there other ways to check the astrology?

sigh. I can’t log in and I don’t have an ID. Does this mean auto reject on Thursday? feeling so depressed and disappointed in myself.

Im pretty sure this means nothing as other ppl above in thread got matching IDS even though they didn’t attend program. When you got into the summer sessions program, they automatically gave you an ID. I’m guessing they just linked that ID with ur MAP account. So campus solutions doesn’t apply.

This seems like a good explanation for folks that have had cal net IDs before through some association with Cal. S25 does not remember his calnet ID from last summer but using only MAP credentials, we see the student ID and page that everyone else with no prior association with Cal is seeing. No alumni page or anything. Hoping for best outcome ofcourse.

There are always outliers, I would maintain some hope.

Try to log into CalCentral with the CalNet ID they gave u when u got into summer sessions. Some ppl see alumni page while myself and aaddyywill have a standard student homepage

No hope anymore. I’m auto reject and this thread confirms it. I don’t know what to do anymore now that my future is essentially over.
