I personally just think that is coping. I would suggest analyzing the plethora of empirical examples of this astrology working along with the 100% success rate for early admits.

Hey sorry to bother everyone but I was curious about if the astrology results were finalized for rd first years (as a person with an ID but no access to the class search). I know some people were talking over the weekend about the registrar on the website not being full yet but I wasn’t sure if that was the case.

how we say presir has gone up or not? cauz base on the fact that B admits roughly 15000 per year, the current presir number of 19721 is pretty much the amount. see, you take 7000 graduates away, and add 1200 early admits back, that should be around 15000
guys i wanted to say this: im not sure that the default lp page nor the class search page means anything and thats because i have the page but was rejected from stanford, uc irvine and ucla and calpoly slo and also sdsu so if I got rejected from all these schools so if i didn’t get into easier to get into schools than berkeley (by acceptance rate only i mean, not tryna hate on any of these schools, i love them all thats why i applied )(like sdsu) then the chances of berkeley are….yk.
so maybe it doesn;t mean anything (it could mean accept OR waitlist maybe??) just letting everyone know for next year

It’s not unusual to be rejected from higher acceptance rate schools and then get into ones considered “harder”. Also Berkeley is known for being very holisitic and more flexible with GPA and valuing rigor and impact more. Plus, know that Cal poly and SDSU only looks at grades but in easy classes, so somebody who took 2 APS but got all As will get in while someone who took 12 APS but had 1-2 Bs might not. It’s a crazy system but the kids who get into and choose the state schools, it’s not the people who take the challenging classes. I have gotten into a few other UCs, some really good out of state schools, but waitlisted Cal Poly. I know exactly what my friends who got into Cal Poly took and it was easy classes only. I think you have Berkeley, good luck!
ok thank you for letting me know. i would hope so but im really not sure it works. so far ive been rejected from mit, stanford, caltech, uci, ucla, usc and waitlisted at barnard, rice, uchicago (wiating on ivies) and i feel as though berkely is onpar with these schools yk and so if i havent been able to get into any of these i really dont know how berkely wuld be possible. i would love, love, love for the astro to be true but im really not sure. maybe there have been false positives? idk
The CSU’s consider HS course rigor but their CSU Calculations are limited to 8 semesters of Honors points while the UC’s will also calculate out your Uncapped weighted GPA.
CSU’s also consider how many a-g courses you have taken above the 15 minimum required and your grades/courses related to your Intended major. They do not just look at easy classes??? So I do not know where you got that information. Several CSU’s are as difficult to get into than some of the UC’s.
CSU’s are stats based so a lower CSU GPA cannot be explained since essays are not considered like the UC’s. CSU’s take into account students that are in the local admission area so they are given priority unlike the UC’s Yes different application review systems so you cannot compare.
Many top students consciously select CSU’s over UC’s for many reasons so do not disparage CSU students based on your what you heard. Unless you work in admissions, you cannot make any judgements.
