@calstitch Congratulations on getting into your ED school. Per ED agreement, you are REQUIRED to withdraw all other applications once accepted by your ED school. Also, the agreement states that the ED school can share your name with other schools to ensure you don’t have any further active applications. Violation can result in revocation of acceptance.
Irrespective of wait lists, it is extremely rude to delay withdrawing an application just to satisfy your curiosity. Even if you don’t get caught, you would be causing someone a needless disappointment and inconvenience. That is why schools share lists of their ED acceptances.
My OOS daughter was accepted yesterday as well, no regents invite but we’re thrilled she is in! 2190 sat 4.79 weighted, 4.0 unweighted rank 1/205 NMF, good EC, Great recs
Today when I went to check my portal (which I’ve been doing obsessively), under the test scores section of the checklist a new “self-reported” line showed up which was not there yesterday. I wonder what this means (probably absolutely nothing lol)
Is it too late to change major? I applied as an engineering undeclared and feel like I have on chance for this major especially. I want to change it into different kinds of engineering…
Mine showed up too. But I wouldn’t overanalyze. The office is probably just in the process of receiving and updating things and whatnot. Subject tests do not show up on the portal at all. Berkeley doesn’t confirm reception of those.
Question about that alumni leadership award though:
I looked on the UCLA thread and there seems to be more selectivity when it comes to sending out the email there, as well as some correlation between acceptance and reception of the email. Although that last bit could just be self-selecting considering high scores usually are associated with acceptance anyway. Is Berkeley the same or no?
@Rohitmohit It showed up in the checklist of received materials. But honestly @kasami is right! I was just joking around because something changed on my portal for the first time in months and it was sort of exciting lol
On my portal, I have 3 rows of test score reporting. It looks something like below. Why would I have 3 lines? I sent in
one ACT score and one SAT II score.
Received SAT/ACT Score (see Test Scores instructions above)
Test Date: 2/01/15 (official)
Test Date: 2/01/15 (official)
Test Date: 2/01/15 (self-reported)
Does admissions see your scholarship application? Do you all think that the applicants for the scholarship will be very competitive, considering these are Berkeley applicants…? I’m just wondering if it’s worth applying for.
