I heard UCB was more essay oriented @luna2389 but tbh I’m hoping for more score oriented because I didn’t get into UCLA with a 2100 SAT.

am i the only one who applied to l&s and didnt get the fpf email… I checked all my folders…
@futurecivilguy14 Not necessarily. I’m sure UCLA and UCB look for different things when building a class. Furthermore, I’ve heard UCLA is more grade orientated than UCB, and Berkeley also takes a far more holistic look at applicants. Rejection from one school isn’t necessarily indicative of rejection from the other. If you have the stats for both and wrote decent essays, then I wouldn’t call it a sure rejection.

GUYS… CAL DAY AND BRUIN DAY ARE ON THE SAME DAY THIS YEAR!!! apr 16 2016… not saying im gonna get into berkeley but if i do i would really like to attend cal day… but also bruin day is important to me as well idk for those accepted into both schools, might have to choose one or the other?
@luvcollege2016 I’m sure they did this intentionally. Coin flip I guess lol. I would pick Cal Day though.
@luvcollege2016 That’s pretty interesting. I doubt it was sheer coincidence. I guess it’s up to you which you’d like to attend.

@IBGuy101 @Kasami if accepted, which one would you guys attend? I FEEL YOU IBGUY!! cal has been my dream school since forever but my parents really want me to go to ucla so i think they would prefer that i go to bruin day
@luvcollege2016 Well I didn’t apply to UCLA, but if I had and was accepted to there and Berkeley it would definitely be Cal. I think my preference is petty clear considering I didn’t even apply to UCLA haha, although I do kind of regret that.
@kimdy0 And you checked the promotions folder too? Junk mail? I still use hotmail/outlook and received it. I’m not sure what to tell you except even if the FPF email indicated something, so many people on this thread got it I doubt it’s a sign of acceptance. The number of recipients would simply be too high. So maybe just consider it an anomaly?

@kimdy0 Please type in “Fall Program for Freshman” into gmail’s search bar. Search that way. If you don’t find anything, we will start analyzing the email lol…
