@IBGuy101 only thing i can find when i search that up on the search bar is the “global edge” mail from berkeley back in february… haha idk
@Kasami Well my GPA is fine but my ACT wasnt that good ( Composite-30) so yeah…
Well, your words do give me some hope
Hey I received the FPF and was requested LORs awhile back. How should l take this? Potential admit?
I didn’t get the FPF but I applied engineering so I wouldn’t have anyways, but my two cents is that everybody that applied in L & S got one, just from reading what the email said (that somebody posted here). So maybe it’s possible the email didn’t go through to you for some reason? I know my gmail account loses mail occasionally.
I applied to L&S and haven’t gotten the email you all are talking about. So far I’ve been accepted at all the UCs I’ve applied to (UCSB, UCI, UCSD, UCD, UCSC) so I’m hoping that this is not bad news for me? I was not contacted for a LOR in the fall though.
Nevermind, I applied to the College of Chemistry! I forgot that Berkeley had a separate school for a second since for the rest of the UCs I was a L&S applicant.
@“Bruin or Ruin” I did as a civil engineering major
Does acceptance from UCLA mean a most likely acceptance from UCB for in-state students?
UCB has a higher acceptance rate for in-state students
Everyone that applied to L&S got the email. To the best of my knowledge at least.
I applied to L&S, got the recommendation notice, and have been accepted into the other 4 UCs that I applied. Just hoping for Cal this week. It’s undoubtedly one of my top picks.
@gwastaken Same here. Hope we both get in
I’ve already been accepted to Berkeley EECS (Regents applicant) and I received the FPF email. I’ve also been accepted to UCLA, UCSB, UCSD and UCI as Regents. It seems not everyone received the FPF email on this forum so it can’t me a mass email. For what it’s worth, I take the FPF email as a promising sign.
so who else is out here peein themselves over this already
I checked the Berkeley C/O 2019 thread and I found that no one was sent the Fall Program for Freshman email before Thursday (26th last year). However, some were offered this option when they got admitted out of 2 other enrollment options. I will look into this further.
@IBGuy101 wow, thank you for the info!! keep us updated

Just like the UCSD emails, they make is seem as if you are already admitted by the email. I also found the website I posted a link to above. Although a good handful of L&S applicants [not everyone-and 1 or 2 (out of a sample size of like 2 lol.) people who got an early admit also got it] on this thread got the Fall Program for Freshman email.
It seems weird to me that a couple of people(1 or 2?) on this thread who applied to L&S did not get the email. This definitely cannot be considered an anomaly because UC Berkeley uses a third-party program to send “mass” emails to thousands of applicants and potential admits.
Hi everyone. Since decisions are coming out soon and Berkeley is my dream school I thought I’d hop on this thread lmao praying
I just want to say my daughter applied to several UC school and she only got an email like this from Berkeley. Did the other UC schools send out similar emails before announcing the decision?
I also got the FPF email. Applied as a pre-business admin major and got wait listed at UCLA lol.
Not sure if this means anything, but I noticed that the FPF email didn’t mention that this email would have no indication or bearing on your admission whatsoever, like what the Cal Alumni and Leadership scholarships mentioned at the bottom of both emails.
@IBGuy101 so do you think the freshmen fall program email is a good sign?
@blessup Well, you are not an applicant from the College of Letters and Science so this is really weird. Did the email still say, “FPF is a small, collaborative learning community for first-year students in the College of Letters and Science.”? Or did it replace L&S with HAAS?
@amy989 Yea, UCSD sent two emails that were strong indicators of an acceptance (but we did not know what when we got them).
@parsi7 It sure looks like it. But I am not gonna get my hopes up since I got rejected from UCLA lol.
@IBGuy101 I didn’t receive any emails from UCSD and I got in last Friday. I’m not really sold that the emails mean anything at this point.
