Is the personal statement and the personal insight questions the same thing and if they aren’t then where can i find the personal statement?

No more “personal statement” for UC applicants. From the UC website: “What happened to the personal statement? We’ve replaced the personal statement with the new personal insight questions in the fall 2017 application (for students applying in fall 2016). @lulu0207 That’s what I was thinking because it seems like they are looking for people interested in the program? I don’t know what to do?
@KelseyBelle33x I think this depends. If this is something where they have to fill the number of students attending, I guess it could possibly increase our chances. But this could also be something that they do not care at all even if no one signs up.
@lulu0207 True. I’m not sure how this program works, but I’m going to fill it out just to boost my chances (if it does in any way) and London sounds nice

Asked to send 2 letter of recs?
Anyone else get this?
@tenaciousteen113 My daughter applied, is OOS and has not received a request for recs. I have no idea what it means but here is what the website says:
“How are students selected to submit letter(s)?
We will request letters of some students after we initially review their applications, if we feel additional information would be helpful in our selection process. Only a fraction of applicants will be selected to submit letters, and they can choose to submit letters or not to do so. Not doing so will not harm them in any way.”

@tenaciousteen113 maybe the rec letter request is to determine if they offer you the regents scholarship??
