@wingjuer - How could your daughter have been accepted to Haas when Haas does not accept Freshman & Sophomore students?
After getting accepted to UCB, sophomores have to apply all over again to get into Haas.

@Pablo2017 - You need to contact the college that you took chemistry for 2 weeks and inform them that you dropped. They are going to need proof that you really did drop. If you dropped online, I hope you took a screenshot when you dropped the course or are able to go back into your account with that college and take a screenshot showing it is dropped.
Also, it is odd that you ended up with a “D” instead of an “F” since you were only in it for 2 weeks & according to them never dropped. Have Admissions do an audit of the paperwork for dropping the class for them to find that form. You need to tell them the date you submitted the drop form so they can narrow down their search.
If anyone tells you no, just go over their head to a supervisor. If the supervisor says no, go over their head to the Dean of Student Services. Just keep climbing up the ladder. Never take the 1st clerk’s answer.
@berkeleyorbust1 I got accepted to Davis and UCLA more than two weeks ago and I just got their snail-mail admission packages today, March 30, so I’d expect a wait, international or not.
@nontraditional She got in this new special program Haas business school Global management program which will start in summer and fall in London
http://newsroom.haas.berkeley.edu/berkeley-haas-to-launch-new-global-management-program-for-undergraduates/
Her accept letter said “We are pleased to welcome you to the Haas business school Global management program…”, so I assume she is in Haas, is there sth wrong?
@Wingjuer - You are absolutely correct. I just read the link you provided. “Global Management Program will be the second Haas program offered to high school seniors applying to UC Berkeley … is intended to be completed in four years, awarding students a bachelor of science degree in business administration”
Excellent work - Congratulations!
I’m going to share this since Haas previously only took Juniors & Seniors.
Do we have to sign up for Cal Day, or do we just show up there?
@nontraditional Thanks!
@nontraditional the class started with a quiz and I ended with a 29% and I have the records for that and I don’t know why but the class curved a 29% to a D. Do you think if I show that I stopped participating in the class before halfway through (which is this colleges withdrawal date). All registration was done through my chem teacher unfortunately so I don’t know if I have records it was done indirectly. What I do have is the forms showing that the college allows withdrawals from midterm and earlier and I also have proof I didn’t participate in the class past 2 weeks.

I was hopeful since two people from my school got in last year with similar stats but oh well. On the bright side, it helps me narrow down my choices a bit because I really loved Berkeley and I’d have to make a tough choice if I was admitted.
Congratulations to everyone accepted!! <:-P
@Acceptmeples - You just show up. I’ve been to Cal Day 2016 & 2017 and there are over 400 events taking place. Go to http://calday.berkeley.edu/ and find the events & times that you want to attend so you can plan it out. Many events are repeated to give people an opportunity to go to multiple events.
ARRIVE EARLY to find street parking & then walk. It is so much fun.
Thankfully Accepted!

@Pablo2017 - You need to go to that Chemistry instructor and explain your situation & tell him you submitted a drop form to him & it was not processed. Not participating past 2 weeks is not proof that a person actually dropped since anyone could just stop going, but never drop. You need to do this immediately for 2 reasons: 1-while it’s still fresh in the instructor’s mind; 2-before Berkeley sees it on the transcript. You can always submit an explanation to UCB if they ask. But do not volunteer any info yet. Take care of this by going to the Chemistry instructor.
Does anybody know how to get our Calnet IDs?
How did you get your CalNet ID?
@nontraditional Ah, thank you so much!
@rlbarber Log into [MAP] portal > Calcentral on the right side bar > Profile on the top right corner > Find Student ID and use this link: https://bpr.calnet.berkeley.edu/acc…/claimAccount/start… > create your username (basically your CalNet ID. Make it professional, because this is going to follow you through life and you can’t change it) > done
@Acceptmeples two years ago my S didn’t register. He was denied admission to a welcome presentation. He ended up sneaking in by just going in when a group was admitted. It all worked out in the end. If there is something you can register for, I would recommend you do.
@pablo2017 would your chemistry teacher have a record of the drop? It’s something you definitely need to inform UCB of now. Waiting will only delay a definitive response.
@svlab112 Wait how do you register tho. I can’t find anything about reserving a spot
@Acceptmeples perhaps the format has changed since 2016 when S was accepted. D also attended in 2014 and is graduating this May.
My current 2018 senior who was also accepted says there is no registration required.
