@lovespink good luck to him! It’s going to suck waiting for Berkeley’s decision and the waitlist decision
My S1, class 19, was waitlisted at UCLA but admitted to Berkeley. Same with a friend of S2 last year. So don’t lose hope! I believe Berkeley has a more holistic approach than UCLA. Good luck, y’all!
I got rejected from UCLA and my extra curricular was extremely unique ;((( I think I just lost hope for Berkeley…
D got accepted to UCLA. But I’ve heard that a lot of students who get accepted to UCLA get rejected from UCB. Is this true?? UCB is her top choice.
@“collegeisscary…2022” I was accepted to Cal as as a Regents Candidate in February and to UCLA today! It can be done haha. I heard the same thing but I know people in previous years who were able to get into both.
@ugradbiz thanks appreciate the help!
@ugradbiz @“collegeisscary…2022” same ('cept I was accepted early with no Regents) It can be done. Good Luck!
I got rejected from UCLA today. I am now afraid that I might get rejected from other schools. Hope that we all could get good results by the end of March!
@eunoiase Same situation as you!!
I’ve applied to 7 universities and already going 0/2 :/. I don’t know what I will do if I get rejected from UCB. I was always more UCLA<UCB but isnt it harder to get into UCB?
I am accepted in UCSD with undeclared major against my choice of comp. sc and engg.
Also I am accepted in University of Wisconsin- Madison with Comp. Engg. major in college of Engg.
Pls. advise, which I should opt for. I am not clear about undeclared major in UCSD
I got waitlisted at UCLA. Does this indicate anything about my cal chances? Cuz just like @BrKmNk I feel UCLA<UCB. I’ve also heard that many who get in Berkeley don’t get in LA and vice versa. Is there hope for me?
International here.
Rejected UCLA CoE, Berkeley is like my last hope alongside Michigan. PLS!
@PoseidonHKG Didn’t UMich release results already?
A little late but could anyone chance me, please? Berkeley is my dream school, but I am really uncertain about my chances.

I know it may be a stretch for me to get in, but my sophomore year had a brutal blow to my GPA compared to all my other years. I had a lot of hardship in my life at that point in time and in my life, which I based UC essays on. I described how those experiences shaped who I am today and how I learned from them. My academics shot up junior year and I went in for a more rigorous schedule senior year as well. I know that Berkeley is more holistic than UCLA so I am a little optimistic, but engineering is really competitive at Berkeley as well.
Chancing doesn’t really meaning anything here dude, people said I had a high chance of making it in to UCLA, boof rejected. Just hang on 1 more week, decisions will be released on Friday! @calclover725 Still wish you the best of luck!
@BrKmNk More than a week! Unless they release before March 29.
Does anyone know if there’s any correlation between acceptance at UCSD and UCB? I would assume that getting rejected at UCSD likely means that you’d get rejected at UCB, but what does acceptance at UCSD mean, if anything, about chances at UCB? Anything? Nothing?
I have reliable resources that indicate that UCB releases decisions 1 week after UCLA… and this person [studying in UCLA right now] said UCLA traditionally releases 3rd Friday of March, and traditionally UCB releases decisions on the 4th Friday of March {1 week after UCLA}. It should be released this Friday!!! check last years’ forums for validity if you must @hellomynamejeff
@BrKmNk I honestly hope you’re right! The sooner the better. Thanks for responding to my message.
