UC Berkeley - Class of 2022 Applicants Thread

@eunoiase What did the email say?

@nyudream2221 I think I just mis apprehended the email. The email was talking about first pathway programs the students should take when they get accepted.

did anyone receive the FPF email today?

This FPF doesn’t apply for engineering majors right?

My D received three FPF emails on Feb 2, 11 and 26 so far. Nothing after that. She applied L&S major. Does this mean anything?

I got one on 19th Dec and then again on Feb 26

My USPS informed delivery says that I have a shipment coming from San Jose. It says pro star fulfillment/ pro star logistics. Does anyone else have this?

@dogsrlife1317 That’s interesting! Query: my informed delivery only gives me mail information on the day the mail is due to be delivered. Are you able to access mail coming tomorrow, etc? Or are you talking about “packages?”

@youngone4 No it’s a package which is supposed to arrive on Saturday. Pro star fulfillment also sent my WashU package so I’m assuming that this is another college package

Well, I wish you good luck, kiddo!

I know chance threads are pointless but I felt really happy about getting into UCLA until I heard that people don’t usually get into both UCLA and Berkeley? It’s usually one or the other? Not sure if this is true so if anyone has any information that would be much appreciated!

@purple17 There is no truth in that. You can get into both.

@purple17 My friend got into both last year

@purple17 I got into both… this year, so did my friend. GOOD LUCK

@purple17 My D and S got into both. One selected UCB the other UCLA in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

@dogsrlife1317 I highly doubt the pkg is coming from UC Berkeley. In my S’s experience, he got an email prompting him to check the portal for his admissions decision. The acceptance packet came a week or two later.

Both my students got into both Berkeley and UCLA. Only one got the Regents offer from Berkeley. I think a lot comes down to your intended major, however. The stronger student chose Econ a popular major but the less strong student picked I think a less popular major.

How popular is Material Science major at UCB?

Any chance the decisions are coming out today? I heard UCB has always released their decisions a week after UCLA

They said 29th March
