I would actually say the 29 or 30. Although they told me itā€™s gonna be on June 1st. I donā€™t think thatā€™s likely because itā€™s a Sunday. They can definitely be sending automated rejections on Sunday though.

Also, the first wave might be the final wave.

I came across a post on Reddit where someone mentioned they had called the admissions office and were told the first waitlist wave is expected around the 28th. They also commented on the rumor that Berkeley may have under-admitted this year, which could mean more students getting off the waitlistā€¦ though we wonā€™t really know until the decisions start coming out.

Berkeley offers a ā€œvirtual front deskā€ every Wednesday. No need to register and you can directly join through zoom. Search up ā€œBerkeley undergrad contactā€ on google.

Iā€™m like 99% sure that if Berkeley wants to admit people off the waitlist, it is going to start this week (maybe even tmrw since itā€™s May 28). Iā€™ve never seen the first wave begin later than late May in the past. One more zoom call tomorrow should give us an answerā€¦ hopefully :crossed_fingers:

I joined the morning session - it probably was a student (sounded like one)- and he said that the only thing they are sharing with students is that all waitlisted applicants will hear back from them until August 1stā€¦
