idk probably just a routine portal change. since everyone has it it can’t mean anything
i think if the portal is going to change and everyone is assuming that waitlists might be coming out may 8th or 9th, we might see some portal astrology (idk) or something of that sort work for us this friday, since that’s how it worked out when reg decisions came out
Probably not since admits technically have until 11:59 PM to commit until its too late and they dont work on weekends so it might be may 4th onwards. But as others said, prob May 8th or 9th

Alt Major: Molecular and Cell Biology
I believe the alternate major is only looked at during the waitlist process.
Can someone call the waitlist office and get a timeline? I would, but I can’t call internationally lol.

Can’t hurt to ask. We’d at least get some ballpark dates.

I applied for economics and my alternate is data science, and I’m pretty sure economics is easier to get into. Does that change anything?
No, you will be evaluated for both majors for the waitlist.

Is visiting campus and asking the possible date to release of waitlisted applicants will have negative effect?
Asking about the waitlist admits dates would not have a negative impact but admissions usually will give you generalities.
This is from the Waitlist FAQ if you are visiting for another reason.
Does visiting the campus increase my chances of being admitted from the waitlist?
A: No. Our office will make decisions based on the original application only. Additionally, Admissions will not be able to provide interviews or personal appointments for students on the waitlist.

Yes, but they are not giving any specific dates. They told same thing what we saw in the portal (May to July). It is tough to wait for so long time.
