I reached out to the guy on TikTok who claimed to have been taken off the Berkeley waitlist, but he is refusing to share proof (which is completely understandable). I guess someone could call up to AOs tmrw to see if anyone has been let off the waitlist or we’ll just have to cope.

If they release this week, it will be on Wednesday (that was their waitlist trend last year). In 2023, they did their 1st wave on May 8, and in 2024 their first wave was on the 15th. Si the first wave has to be this Wednesday or next.

how was the percentage for this year calculated? Because Tineo College Prep said there would be a lot more coming from the waitlist this year due to ucb under admitting
i think those estimations came out before he made the video and prior to him talking to aos so maybe it will be updated

Exactly, there is nothing wrong and right. Everything is kind of educated guess. As long as they are taking lot more than last year, that will bring some hope and positivity.

How about appeals?
Last year several appeal decisions posted around May 17 but they are reviewed on a case by basis so the decisions can be posted anytime between now until August.

Appeals are rarely approved so 1-2%. I do not have data for 2024 but this is 2023 data.
