I’m moving on. Going to sign up for orientation and plan out classes at UCSB. Anyone who’s going to UCSB, are you staying on campus or remote for fall?
She did say waves though, and as far as ik,multiple waves would mean atleast one of those waves would be an acceptance wave.
Rep said decisions would come out today on the live chat.
Finally! We can finally get this over with.
Sounds like I’m getting rejected:/
I think what most of us will get today is a reject letter, not that we are not good enough, but due to the constraint of capacity.
didnt @beans456 just say that the morning rep chat said it will be extended to july 31 and no decisions come today? lmao literally 2 completely different things back to back within 2 hours
The latest update is that multiple reps have confirmed decisions for waitlist and appeals goes out later today at the same time.
official rejection letter for me in 3 hours guys : )
@harryjackson1 You know for sure it’s coming in 3 hrs?
I was just on the live chat and rep said the decisions will be released later today, but they did not tell me if there would be any acceptances
great, someone asked if there would be decisions released after today and the rep said that they did not have information on that… ugh cant they make up their mind already.
@beans456 April decisions came out at around 5 so I assume the same.
Live chat (2:43pm PST)
Me: Hi, will the transfer waitlist decisions (either way: Accepted/Rejected) be released today? Or will they be pushed into early July?
Rep: Yes, notification will go out today addressing all students in the above listed pool.
Me: So, just to clarify, transfer waitlist decisions will be released today (06/30/20)?
Rep: Yes.
Someone in chat: Does this also apply for freshman waitlist decisions?
Rep: Yes both freshmen and transfer will receive an update.
Good luck everyone! Wow I’m so nervous!
To me it looks like they were going to take a small number off the waitlist during July, but people have annoyed them so much today, that they decided to just send rejections to everyone and stop calls and questions in the live chat.
i dont think admissions reps (that run the chats) have any say over that. Admissions officers manage that and aren’t gonna make decisions on annoyance vs hitting desired enrollment targets
Has anyone gotten the glitch or anything, because I haven’t.
Nope, nothing !
They’ve already hit the enrollment target, we are talking about very small number of spots left if any. I am sure that atmosphere in admission office is very stressful right now, live chat is just a small part that we can witness ourselves. I mean there is no point to hold the whole department in stress till the end of July for a few people who might not even get in, and they have probably decided to just release all the decisions today.
Lmao they’ve literally been putting us under stress for months, because they’re a bunch of white indecisive a**holes
