Are the waitlist spots released on rolling basis or all out once.
Here is the 2023 timeline. Each year it is different so it could be rolling or just 1 or 2 waves.
2023 Timeline: Several Engineering admits and a few L&S May 8. College of Chemistry Chem Eng, Unspecified Eng, Architecture May 23. Few Econ admits June 20. Admits on July 5 L&S, COE and CNR. A few alternate major admits noted. Denials posted on July 21. Rare admits July 24.

Any appeal granted this year?
yes i have this question as well. also were all appeal decision released on friday? i dont want to open mine because I am scared. all i have seen so far are appeal denials. has anyone’s appeal not received a decision?

Yes I have seen people get their decision on Friday. I think a majority of people got their decisions but I saw mostly denials here and elsewhere. There should be a status update on your Berkeley portal and the deicison is posted there

are we sure it’s gonna come this week?
Seems likely based on the post above that includes the timeline from last year. Gumbymom is very accurate, so first WL admits would hopefully be released about 1 week from May 15. Maybe Wednesday (?) and then another week or two for second small wave, and hopefully more (?). Would guess, 1st week of June for 2nd wave. Wishing you all good luck! 
It’s hard to wait as it seems other schools started drawing on their waitlists around the 15th
