No change on the portal, but my son said he got a rejection mail. Wonder if everybody got on update on their portal.

Exactly I wish people could just be honest in this day and age. UCI is full of some of the smartest people I have ever met. Even their high-demand majors like CS are still full of geniuses. What a good school.

I interviewed lots of UC graduates, the top 10% UC graduates are very comparable to ivy graduates, but the mid range UC graduates are much worse than those graduates from the top 10 schoolsâŠ

My portal status still hasnât changed, but I got an email rejection titled âUpdate from UC Berkeleyâ

My daughter got the alert that she had an email from Berkeley and was about to click on it when her high-school Gmail account deactivated itself :). Luckily I had seen this on CC and had checked it myself (sheâs out of the country), because yeah, no portal update. Or maybe not lucky â I guess itâs nice to not have a rejection at all!

Daughter rejected (biology) while she was having the wonderful time at UCSB freshman orientation (including an overnight dorm experience). Felt more like confirmation and closure than disappointment.

Hey, those of us who got email rejections from the waitlist⊠who else didnât have any updates in the admissions portal? Ours still says last update March 28.
