UC Berkeley Portal Astrology Discussion 2024

Not sure, I am not familiar with the campus solutions indicator.

reddit has discovered this thread. The most upvoted comment is people saying they got the “rejected” signs. Other comments confirm that those who were admitted early are seeing the “admitted” signs.

If I had to bet, I’d bet it works this year just like last year. I’m also going to be very mad at myself as a parent if I’ve given my kid false hope by indulging this stuff!

As long as you treat it in your mind as a science experiment, it is no worse than getting yourself wrapped up in false hope (or false disappointment) from a “chance me” or some other predictive activity. Just repeat, science experiment. Good luck!

That’s true. I keep telling him that although we’re messing with this “for fun”, we don’t know until we know. And to keep that at the forefront.

Does signing up for a summer freshmen edge or fall semester program zoom meeting count as something that could lead to these signs?

How many joined the zoom meeting

If you only signed up for a zoom meeting, I am guessing that won’t interfere with any indicators
although I don’t know what sort of sign up that would be for the zoom meeting (as I didn’t sign up for these).

My feeling is that would be unrelated. I think those “sign-ups” were zoom managed systems.

Ya that makes sense

A2C Reddit people have started posting about this and a lot of the comments seem to be about rejection with tons of upvotes. Seems like the college confidential sample was very biased.

Even with the link in the reddit thread, it seems people are more motivated to fill it out if they think it means accepted, and less likely if they think it means rejected.

You’d probably get a very different result if nobody knew what the outcomes meant yet.

Definitely true but it at least will get some more data and the data that’s coming in now seems to be favoring what happened last year

would me starting an application for summer sessions but not finishing or submitting it at all affect the indicators in any way? for context, i do have an account for just “myapp” and it has the same email as my portal/MAP@Berkeley but has a different password.

I wonder if it’s possible that Berkeley is releasing its offers in alphabetical order (at least for the international applicants). I’ve seen claims on other website that the international students who start with “C” has found “forbidden” in their portal in the last few days while others don’t, but don’t know where’s their process now

It would depend if an account was set up at that time. From what you describe, I simply don’t know. Good luck!

thanks for the response! for me, i only set up an account for myapp but never created a calcentral account, which is what i assume people are checking with.

sorry to correct myself, i do not have a calnet ID nor do i have a berkeley.edu email. i only have the myapp.

We know a “T” with a forbidden so I doubt it. There is no need to batch uploads unless its done by college and that isnt the case from the results.

does this not work if i have a berkeley.edu email? cause my back up email is my regular email, and it keeps auto logging me in

Is it still possible for the not authorized to change to forbidden?
