UC Berkeley Portal Astrology Discussion 2024

The FFT / FTT indicator worked last year for applicants in this category.

All the same. L&S. ID starts w 304 though.

do u guys think the forbidden/id success could be based on major/school?

I’m new to this thread but I just wanted to comment that 2 of my friends who got in early with regents both have forbidden and an ID. One of them starts with 304, the other idk.

Any CS applicants with accepted astrology?

No idea at all if any of this is serous at all tbh

I mean I think it definitely means something. Why else would there be different outcomes?

The logic behind it makes sense as far as created student IDs

I saw an explanation for why “forbidden” and “not authorized” are a thing. Let me find it to add on as well

Got into UCLA but have unauthorized: CS major. Big RIP

no, I’m getting unauthorized - to be honest, I’m surprised at the amount of traction my post got (100+ clicks on my links!), and I firmly believe that only the forbidden/not authorized first link & the student id thing matters at the moment

My id starts w 3040. They prolly ran out of 303s

Yes
DS (domestic, oos) is Global Studies and getting “Forbidden”, plus all the admitted signs per last year’s portal astrology YouTube video EXCEPT for one: The source code on the Withdraw page is still FFT, although I’ve heard it doesn’t flip over to FTT until a day b4 the results are out.

Seems like there have been forbidden/not authorized from wide range of programs

The poll data in discord group referenced above shows forbidden and not authorized applicants from nearly every school (only one Chemistry student though that I see) and for in-state and OOS.

Doesn’t someone here know about created student ids? Is this done for everyone? Or just the accepted?

this maybe description you were referencing

I couldn’t find the post from last year, but a guy said that the way “error: forbidden” pages work is when the user can access the page just not the information at the time. On the other hand “error: non authorized” means the user cannot access anything at all. (I’m just paraphrasing what I remember, he could’ve been wrong)

Yeah maybe it’s that, I’m not a tech guy so I was just trying to remember lol

has anyone gotten forbidden/id for film and media studies???

Just would like to make a clarification. The 303 vs 304 id numbers most likely have no meaning. I know multiple Berkeley early admits whose Id’s start with 303.
