I mean, I can’t think of a reason why they should really care that much if some people think they know their results a few days early? At least not enough to deal with changing a system that otherwise works well for them. :person_shrugging:

FFT worked for me. Early admit here. however, I only checked it like 2-3 hours before the results came out.

I agree. My other son is a junior at Cal now and portal astrology was successful for him 3 years ago. I imagine it’s not a high priority for Cal to address it, especially since it doesn’t impact them at all and instead only seems to reveal to a small subset of students what their likely results are.

It gives me a little bit of pause, actually.

If you want to read into it, you might see an ossified IT infrastructure, priorities that are not putting a lot of emphasis on undergrad experience, an incurious staff that is not out gathering information, and/or perhaps a system that’s too big to be nimble and change even over the timescale of years.

Or perhaps they find it to be harmless and entertaining, or even might think it’s a very Berkeley-esque thing for their applicants to do each year.

It’s quite well known that students do this.

What undergrad experience? None of the people trying to find their results have gotten in yet. So, why would the UC need to prioritize this over systems that actually cater to the undergrads on campus.

how confident should i be? I have a student id and see the homepage with the navigate cis widget. i also see forbidden. i’'m just struggling to really beleive this works

GT CS (in state) or Berkley EECS (oos)

What do you mean FFT worked for you? From prior years. it’s the switch from FFT to FTT that was (yet another) marker of admission. Or are you saying that you got in early even though the switch never happened for you and you stayed at FFT? If so, that would be consistent w/ the speculation that the FFT/FTT switch has been patched for this year.

Does anyone know of someone who applied Spieker/Haas who DID submit the supplemental essay and video that sees not authorized?

Yes, my son unfortunately
He is an international student

Who here did get forbidden and an ID that applied to Spieker/Haas?

theres a zero percent chance of this

because people who have already gotten in have ā€œforbiddenā€

That would be very cruel of them

I have forbidden + id and applied to spieker

Do you see fft or ftt on the source code page for line 48?

Aside from this instance is there anyone else who got not authorized for Spieker/Haas? I’ve seen much more forbidden than not authorized which confuses me because Haas is really competitive

I remember however to get into Haas you have to both get accepted to Spieker and Berkeley itself. Could this be some reason why a lot of people are getting forbidden?
