I was legit overconfident in getting into Cal until i got rejected from UCLA. My confidence is shook.com

@flaminhaute what are your reasons for having Berkeley over ucla? Is it because of the specific program they have? For me it’s because their economics program is stronger (award-winning staff), competitive atmosphere, and a greater chance at career placement. Also, because I want to get out of SoCal lol

I’ve been taking a class at Cal this semester and I’ll be so mad if I didn’t get in because I’d have to retake the same class in Davis because it’s slightly different.
Literally same I thought with my GPA and ECs i’m pretty safe w UCLA:’) I guess UC to UC transfer is harder than I thought… or I’m just overly confident. Good luck buddy!! @GoldenState1

@MattMan23 lol!! I work at an Apple store and carry a mini iPad w/ me when helping customers, the day UCLA released decisions I was on here reading comments and posting and a customer straight up asked me if it was ok to ask me questions she said I looked busy and I was already helping her lollll
Around this time last year, the 2017 thread was posting about how people saw updates on their cal central saying things like “welcome to the college of L&S” or “congrats on your admission to Berkeley” etc
Are any of you seeing that?

@doglover95 i’m refreshing every few mins nothing yet, also reading through last years thread and looking at users that got rejected and accepted to see if they had any indicators on their portals.

I’ve been doing that over the last few days too.
It looks like last year, a few hours on the day that decisions were released, some people had PRE-SIR and others had Student - not registered.
Those who had pre-sir were admitted and those with student - not registered were waitlisted or rejected.
However, I do think there must’ve been a change this year considering everyone here had pre-sir when their calnet/bconnected accounts were first activated, and later everyone’s changed to student- not registered.
I’m also looking out for updates on cal central.
