Does anyone know if it is possible for gift aid to differ THIS much… where other schools you are offered a lot (I am only talking about UC’s) and then one school you are offered ZERO!? Can that be a mistake, or possible? Cuz you think the packages would be fairly similar… or even a little bit… :/. But no aid at all…and then other ones showing generous amount?
Is there a difference between (or much of a difference) “Golden Bear Welcome Reception (on campus)” and “New Student Receptions” that are offered in your local area - besides that one is on campus and one is not… is it pretty much the same event?
@coscimajor I doubt you can create a Calnet ID if you haven’t SIR yet. For me, it wasn’t till after I SIR that the task of creating the Calnet ID appeared.
@Twenmi Yup, my only choice of major was computer science with no alternative major @adhyungyu123 Thank you! I had 2 withdrawals in one quarter and then two more in two separate quarters. So basically I was a part time student for four quarters (including summer) but I had extra credits from high school and I always enrolled in summer quarter, which allowed me to have the necessary number of credits required to graduate.
I was thinking about doing the golden bear transfer program for the summer, more specifically session D since it will give me a chance to meet people and figure out the area before the school year starts
does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to declare the media studies major at cal?? or appeal to apply? right now the only things holding me back from really leaning toward Cal are the housing situation and the fact that i have to apply to my major once i get there. i looked at the website and it said that you can only apply for the major once and decisions are final. i think I would be fine because I got an A in all the pre-reqs but i might have to appeal since i earned 66 units at my ccc and have ap credit from a spanish exam, which may be over 70 units and they make u appeal if you have a certain GPA or over 70 units. HELP PLS
@dwightsbeetfarm I think Media Studies is one of the easier ones to declare. It has a pretty low GPA requirement. I know some Econ majors transfers who are freaking out because they don’t have a high enough GPA in the major requirement classes to declare, but I know 3 Media Studies transfers in my dorm and they all seem to be fine. I’m a freshman but my L&S advisor told me that if you get over the unit cap with AP credits, you can just request that AP units not be included and then they ignore them.
