UC conducting a survey of CCC students

If interested in participating, click on the link below and a window should pop up asking if you want to participate. I assume the questions (by phone or email) will be feedback on your CCC, and how you feel your needs are being met overall. This survey will not be around for long, so here’s your chance to make a small impact and get it all off your chest.

just did mine

I’m really curious what the questions are!

I know. I hope they call my daughter. They did that task force last year about the inequality of CCs, so my hunch is it’s connected. I also know there’s been talk about making the process more streamlined and understandable.

For instance, take all that convoluted language req for int’l students. It’s a bunch of confusing gibberish.

Here’s what Haas MBA says:
If you’re an international student, then English is your foreign language. For instance, if you live in China and speak Mandarin and took three years of English, you have fulfilled the foreign language requirement.

Gee, that’s kind of easy to understand. And I’m assuming that’s the general UC rule, although it’s written like it’s in Greek. I mean, for Gods sake.

I agree. They could definitely simplify the rules.

If called, I would also suggest some updates to ASSIST, as well.

Yeah, like they changed to 70 unit max for all lower division no matter where your school. Before that it was all complicated. I was still working off old formula even after it changed. b-(

@lindyk8‌ I thought the unit cap means Ucs only take 70 transferable units out of your total units when you transfer? I wonder if I have extra units, will it affect admission decision ? I have 82 transferable units right now :expressionless:

No, you’re fine. It only kicks in with upper division. At a CCC you can take as many as you want. You just won’t get unit credit over 70, just subject credit. I may have said it garbled above.

Did anyone here back from the UC survey? I just got an email saying I was chosen to participate and gave me a specific time and date. Has anyone else done it yet? I wonder what kind of questions they will ask me
It’s supposed to last 30 minutes but at least I receive a gift card at the end

Nope, no email

Thats cool about the gift card though!

My daughter never got a call either and I guess they asked for some times.

@Hiitsnaomi‌ I actually just got an email today notifying me that I had been selected for the survey! The email said that they were going to ask me to access the UC website and let them know how easy it is to find information of the site while I’m on the phone with them. I’m looking forward to the Amazon gift card
