Someone on Reddit posted they got in, Environmental Science w/ 3.5GPA
Edit
My daughter received Regents It was in the portal when we scrolled down. She was admitted for English.
Do your children have any connection with Design students? Sadly never met one on my campus tour or any info session. Pretty fascinating that it is the only UC with a major of that type (except maybe UCLA’s DMA)
One twin got in for his alternate major Managerial Economics, the other did not for EE.
That individual did not state if the 3.5 GPA was weighted or unweighted plus they received a supplemental review request so there may have been some extenuating circumstances mentioned in their application. Kudos to them.
My son too
D accepted!
Marine and Coastal Science Major
3.8/4.0
5 AP (2 jr year and 3 sr year), 26 a-g
Pretty mid rigor overall.
PIQs: excellent, told a cohesive story of who she is, each one connected to the others.
Great ECs, super focused on marine bio and environmental sustainability. 300ish hours at a well known marine institute.
Very pleasantly surprised by this result.
Accepted so far: Chapman, U Oregon, SDSU, UCSC

Thanks for that info. Oh wow. I just read up on what a supplemental review request is. Interesting. Would have been nice to know if GPA was UCW or UW. Thanks again. Another question, is Does UW even matter to UC’s? Are they only looking at the UC GPA?
