@phambam , it’s $7500 per year, and that amount is merit-based. Supposedly they can do more based on need, but all Regents, regardless of need, get that from Davis. (Other schools offer different awards.)
For more info., look for a thread I started titled “Talk to me about Regents,” or something like that.
After you submit your FAFSA, it said if you need to apply to more than 10 schools then delete enough schools to add more & submit it again. I applied to 14 schools so I submitted 10, then deleted 4 & added the remaining 4 schools I wanted & submitted it a 2nd time.
It’s under “Make Corrections.” The schools you delete are not actually deleted on the college end. They still have my FAFSA & awarded me financial aid after I deleted those 4.
Also, it’s not too late to add Davis cuz I added USF a couple days ago & they just got it & put a financial aid package together.

@“jesse’sgirl” hey, I will let you know what happens when I call. I am sorry the same thing happened to your son as well, but I think as long as we update the FAFSA, we should still be able to receive Regents. Anyways, I guess that is all speculation… I will find out soon!
@“jesse’sgirl” hey I just spoke with admissions at UC Davis. They said that we may have received regents, but we won’t be able to see it under MyAwards until we file our FAFSA and the school can update our financial status. She said that not filing it did not have an impact on being able to receive it. So, I recommend adding UC Davis to your son’s FAFSA ASAP, and then hopefully we can see if we received it by next week along with our full financial statements. Congrats to him again.
@fearthfihr , wow, thank you!!! That’s great news! He added Davis yesterday, so crossing fingers. Regents benefits are huge, and not just the about the money. Good luck to you!
Hey! I got accepted into UC Davis as an Economics major and Cal Poly SLO as an Economics major. I’m leaning toward Cal Poly because of its location and it has a good business department!
