Will you educate me… is Trans Man born a girl & transitioned to a man?
Or vice-versa?
Hi guys! I just wanna let all of you know to actually read the Conditions of Admission! Unlike a lot of the schools like UCSC or SDSU, Davis want specific grades for specific classes. While UC Davis is my dream school n i got in, I may hold off on SIR until I am sure I can fulfill the grades they want me to have
Would you copy & paste just the part of the conditions you’re talking about, please?
Mine just says no D’s, F’s, or W’s and no mention of any specific courses.
I have a specific class they want a B in
accepted for biology! 4.o and didn’t tag
If i went and did a work study, i would only have to pay $500 total for the whole year!!
@NonTradtional In you Davis Admissions portal, scroll down on the congrats part n then it will say conditions. Each student has a different criteria depending on major and spring classes. I am in Biomedical Engineering and they want me to get an A in physics and ochem. My other friend needed an A in a CS class and Ochem for Chem engineering. This is mainly for impacted majors at Davis i believe
Hi everyone! I have 2 questions:
- Do we need to finish our major within 2 years only? Ik for UCSD, my friends who transferred into engineering have to finish in 2 yrs or if they want more years, they need to file a petition. For UCSC, students have max 3 yrs to finish upper divisions. Is that the same for Davis?
- Can you cancel an SIR? Suppose I SIR to one school but then i hear from another school. Can I cancel the SIR for the first school?
@tekgeek9 I am not sure about your first question. But it know that when it comes down to SIR’s your SIR payment is non-refundable. On the UC website it actually advises that students wait to SIR to a school until they have heard back from all the UC’s. I think if you are conflicted about schools or still waiting to hear back it’s best to hold off on that SIR far as long as you can until the deadline because its non-refundable. If you do SIR though you can always go back on your acceptance to SIR for another school but you just lose that money.
I got grade requirements as a Psych major too. Any ideas on how these requirements will stand with everything moving to online? I think it would be so crappy to reject students who get a lower grade in a class especially now.
Wondering about that too I need a B in one major prep class but how does that come down to the fact that we’re allowed to take these classes as P/NP?
I wouldnt take any major courses as pass/no pass before talking to a Davis counselor. I’ll let you know if I get any reply!
Question: Did ppl get their regents notifs with their admission or does UCD let us know later? I’ve heard dif things from dif ppl
UC Davis regents recipients were notified with their acceptances; it shows up in the portal. There is a big blue bar that says you were awarded the regents scholarship for $15,000 right under the link to the MyAwards page, and the scholarship also shows up on the financial aid page.
