Transferring from a CCC as a junior!
GPA: 3.76
Major: Biochemistry
IGETC already completed: Yes
Pre-Reqs: All except ochem (second sem) and physics, but it’s not required
I dropped organic chemistry second semester with a W and let Davis know. My TAG shouldn’t be revoked since it’s not a required course I believe, so hopefully I can get in still! I took a late start class so I’d still be a full-time student and let them know as well.
What was six months became six days left and I’m incredibly nervous, so if anyone can look at my application and tell me what my chances are that’d be great.
Major: Poli Sci
GPA: 3.66 as of now, will be 3.7+ after this spring, which I indicated on my additional notes with the TAU
IGETC done after this spring with 60 units and major GPA is 4.0
Essays: pretty solid, had plenty of people edit them, wrote about how politics gave me purpose as a first generation middle eastern immigrant (moved here in 2010), and how I turned my hardships into motivation.
ECs: interned for a house campaign, worked for a city council campaign, and organized for a presidential campaign. Currently work as a Registered behavior technician, a position that I earned with Hard work. Was also a part of a few clubs.
Applied: UCLA, UCB, UCD, UCR, UCSD, UCSB
Accepted: UCR with honors
Waiting:the rest of them
I’d really appreciate honest feedback, good luck to all!
After reading speculation of UC Davis transfer decision day being April 16th on here, I did some research and found a webpage containing UC Davis’s upcoming events. If you scroll down to April 16, 2020, there is an event titled “WEBINAR - You’re Admitted! Now What?”. Do you think this confirms the rumor?

I know they’re supposed to release decisions mid-april, but when I open myadmissions portal, it says “Decisions will be sent beginning in late April”. Not sure what to believe
Parent here, but hoping one of the transfer applicants knows the answer. My daughter (who does not post on these message boards) applied as a Fall 2020 transfer in Psych. Although her overall UC GPA is in range, her GPA for the “group” of required major-specific classes for transfer (there are 4 total - intro to psych, stats, bio and anthropology) her GPA is just below the 2.9 GPA requirement. I’m heartbroken for her because it seems this may get her screened out of the major (and admission). She has completed a ton of the requirements for the Psych major (has taken classes year round including Summer and Winter intersessions) and is otherwise a really great candidate for admission. Does Davis provide any flexibility on this?
@saru12345 did your daughter TAG to Davis? If so the conditions of her admission would be listed in that agreement.
If not and she’s a regular transfer applicant then I highly doubt Davis would be flexible with requirements, especially since psych is an impacted major. But she should reach out to admissions for clarification.
