Thank you so much for sharing your perspective and experience! I’m sorry about your daughter (especially since you are an alum) but glad she has found her fit. My son has stats similar to your daughter’s but his top choice was UCLA and he was rejected. It’s been such a tough year for even the best students we know with the increased volume of applications. My son is also thinking about law school, but is not certain. If he chooses Cal Poly, he would definitely consider taking advantage of the 3+3 BA/JD program partnership with UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) to get both his BA & JD in 6 years instead of 7. However, UC Davis’s proximity to the political happenings in Sacramento is also an attractive perk!
