Apparently UCSB has gone to their waitlist. Not sure how much or what majors. Hoping that UCD follows suit…

I have only seen L&S majors for UCSB and not many admits. No Engineering.
I would guess that any pulls from the WL prior to SIR date will be fairly small since they don’t know how many will enroll on or prior to May 15.

I really wish the WL be out in next week, since the international students need to get the visa done.
Yeah, it seems like UCSB only pulled a few students off the waitlist and it wasn’t a huge “wave”, but because it’s being reported on CC and reddit, it feels more substantial. It is exciting news that there are waitlist acceptances ahead of 5/15 though. We’re a few days away now from that deadline, and soon after for some real waitlist movement. Good luck to all!

We had three ucsb waitlist offers yesterday at our 1500 kid high school in Oregon, so there may be more than you think.

There was a video claiming that Davis might start releasing some decisions starting tomorrow. But others are speculating the 22nd. Just have to wait and see!

has anyones appeal request received a response back? submitted mine on the 14th of April and havent gotten anything back.
none here; I called UC Davis Admissions on May 2nd (because portal says “response after May 1”) and was told that there is no firm deadline for appeal responses. Appeals - just like WL offers - would be looked at in waves and on the basis of available spots…now that UCs are starting to look at WL, we are hopeful that there might be some movement on the appeal side as well…
I appreciate the knowledge sharing of other school WL’s. It beats keeping 5 different CC windows open to keep checking them all
