Working at a theatre for performing arts sounds pretty exciting. At least you get to enjoy your job I*.

I have family all over Japan ranging from Tokyo to Hiroshima. Luckily they will let me stay with them so I won’t have to worry about paying for a hotel. I definitely plan to visit central China and Seoul, S. Korea sometime in my life, but I don’t think I will have the time on this trip.

Learning a language in the country in which it originated in sounds really exciting to me. I understand some Japanese, but most of the time I get lost / confused. I will definitely sign up for the study abroad program during your last 2 years at a university. I might study Mandarin instead of Japanese because it would be more beneficial to do so in the long-run in terms of business relations. Moreover, my Chinese friends greatly outweigh my Japanese friends by 10:1 so it would be pretty awesome if I could speak to them.

Haha, I read the first paragraph and actually thought you might be a girl. But pedicures would be better! You guys tend to have awful feet and I’ve noticed so many guys have better hands/fingernails than me. :(

Eh, if you listened to the things we said, we sound like 55-year old disgruntled postal workers! But then again, I think with any job–especially ones dealing with customer service–there’s bound to be tons of things you’ll be unhappy about. I think quite a few of us, especially myself, only stay because we like working with (certain) other coworkers there.

That sounds so cool. My family are pretty much black sheep–we don’t really talk to any of our relatives, so I don’t have any kind of out-of-state connections, let alone overseas ones.

Hahaha, you sound like one of those 4th/5th/etc. generation Japanese kids! What is like like yon-sei/go-sei or something? I’m in my second semester of Chinese and I’m barely learning anything! It’s really easy to pick up the material, but I don’t practice it, so my kind of learning isn’t practical (more like academic, except no essays). It’s also kind of hard to advance in my class because the true beginners in there kind of hold back the others who are quicker at picking up the language.

i send berkeley and update of my current courses, and this lady called me to verify the info with me…
anyways, it was pretty nervwrecking but cool as well, …

hey, is it safe to assume for me that since the lady called me and asked me these pretty weird questions, and was like counting up all my units and junk that my file has either not been reviewed by Cal yet, or that i got in.

I am thinking i was rejected already, why in the world would they call me and ask me those stupid questions?

WillDo, you probably just read mikoyle’s posting…don’t feel foolish
Actually, I really hope that those servers are down soon and they start updating things finally
