UCI is torturing you guys! I can’t imagine the agony of waiting while everyone else is celebrating their acceptance. I feel so lucky to get my decision on the 18th. Hopefully UCI brings good news to these last batches.
I called UCI on Friday. They said that the admissions rolling decisions were all random and that there was no way we could tell when rejections would be handed out. But of course they would say that. WE KNOW UCI. WE KNOW THE TRUTH!!! JUST BE KIND ABOUT IT. Also can I has an acceptance please? :3

Goodluck everyone! I hope you guys all get accepted. I got accepted back on the 17th for Business Administration (1st choice) and I was surprised since its super impacted I had relatively low stats. I had a 4.3 W 3.9 UW and 1560 SAT and in-state. I hope this gives you guys some hope that anything can happen :).
@onmyway21 Some people reportedly got acceptances earlier this morning so I’m assuming that it might be mixed (rejections and acceptances) today, or perhaps it’s solely an acceptance day. I have no clue what’s going on anymore. Lol.
I’m meeting with an Admissions person on Wednesday so if I don’t hear anything by then, I shall interrogate them.
@hotairmarooned I doubt that he/she is gonna reveal you anything. They’re good at telling you general information such as “we’re releasing admissions on a rolling basis, we have time until March 31st, blah blah blah”.
Did anyone get accepted into public health as a major yet? I’ve seen a lot of biological sciences & undeclared :-??
@Luigi0928 Don’t forget “decisions are released randomly and follow no pattern.” As if we couldnt figure out that they were sending out acceptances then waitlists then rejections lol. It’s a little but insulting actually.
Applied under gender/sexuality studies and alternate major of social ecology undeclared…still haven’t heard back and I’m starting to lose hope :’(
Their pattern seems like
1st(February), all those super stars, these people don’t even want to go to uci. They just take uci as a safe school. Most likely, they will not enroll.
2nd(March 17th), some high gpa admissions.
3rd(March 18th), some admissions.
4th(March 19th), admissions of oos
5th(March 20th), waitlist, rejections here and there.
6th(march 23rd), rejections.
