@gtims123 Im in the same position as you, got rejected by UCLA, waitlisted for SD. For UCI I would say that you’re chances of getting in requires more info than just subject test scores and your sat score.
@UCLAstudent101 My extracurriculars are “amazing”. I had a software engineering internship, ran my own tech youtube channel which has 2Million + total views, made my own iPhone game, did tons of computer science courses in my own time, started app club, etc. My essays I would say were good, but my entire mindset has changed now that UCI is taking days to respond. What do you think? How are your ECs and essays?

@Aquariumgal Ok we literally have similar stats! I had a lower sat than you, same exact uc gpa, bomb essays. I was also wl to sd, and got into ucd, did not apply to ucla though. I was accepted to uci last night so i hope this gives you some hope
@seemoore Congrats! thats amazing that you got into all of those unis! Ya the thing is, I’m from Toronto, Canada and probably won’t get a chance to visit a majority of the unis I applied to in the states. I’m leaning towards UCSD for biology at Revelle. Only thing is, I heard Revelle is not the best college so now I’m kinda doubting going there. Also got in for biological sciences at Irvine and Davis. So realllly debating between all three. (I got rejected from UCLA today 
, and prolly the same with Berkeley soon enough). The thing is I rather stay in Canada, if the unis I get into are just ok 
. But I got rejected from Johns Hopkins (expected), and UCLA so far, and got into Northeastern, American, MCPHS, UCSD, Davis and Irvine. But let’s see how it all goes
last year, I took a college class at my high school, but switched out in the beginning of the year and it showed as an F on my college transcript. does this affect my chances? I did make a note of this on my UC Application. I’ve been rejected to UCD, UCSD, UCLA
Should I bother checking the portal regularly tonight? Already discouraged because of a rejection from UCLA…
@kuroferret I would recommend going to sleep and checking when waves come out…just don’t stress yourself out. UCLA pretty much mass rejected people, even UCI admits that are super qualified even for LA.
i am going to accept defeat…i think today’s wave over and i still have no update…i guess it’s time to focus on UCSB

@kuroferret I’m with you. But you know UCI isn’t as competitive. I was waitlisted for UCSD and rejected from UCLA so I totally get the whole discouragement thing.
I called them today and they sort of implied that they would be sending out admissions over the weekend.
My daughter applied for computer game science but admitted as undeclared. She is also accepted by UCR (computer science) and UCSC. She like UCI. Any suggestion which one to go for, UCI or UCR? We don’t consider UCSC since we are near LA. by the way, SAT 2110, GPA 4.2. Thanks
