Haven’t been able to long in for more than a day. Any advice?
Just got into UCLA but UCI where r u :((
@irvineornothing u should be happy that ucla accepted u lol…what are u still doing on this thread
Is it safe to assume that if we haven’t gotten accepted yet there’s a big chance it’s either a rejection of we got waitlisted ?
@ucpleaseaccept yeah i know im thankful, its just UCI has always been my dream school
Guys please answer does UCI offer aid to OOS? IDK If i should accept this offer
@meltingsoull: Starting this year, UC’s do not offer FA to OOS students. They do offer merit aid such as Regents.
@rbakk212051 dude I seriously don’t know what’s going on with people with high stats getting rejected. Honestly I thought the Seniors in previous classes before me were joking when they said UC’s are biased, but now I truly see how ****** up this system is
Still waiting on UCI.
Accepted into UCSC, UCR (highlander scholarship), UCD, waitlisted at UCSD
UC GPA: 3.93 UW / 4.17 W
ACT: 29 / 28 w writing
200+ hours of community service
NHS member
President of American Cancer Society
Multiple officer positions in Key Club home club/division level
Two internships relating to biotech field
Biological sciences major and Biology/Education alternate at UCI
Is it really because we got either rejected/waitlisted? Is that why it’s taking forever?? i don’t really like to think on the bad side but if that’s true can someone confirm that for me?
I’m torn between a school that has no reputation vs a school that’s gonna cost me a lot so loans I can’t do this
Got accepted by UCI!!!
@twtpch123 how long ago?
still waiting… no hope at this point
uc gpa: 4.05
act: 34
major: public health (alternate: pharmaceutical sciences)
really good ECs (400+ hours, leadership positions, etc)
accepted into ucd and ucsc, waitlisted by ucsd, and rejected by ucla
i doubt it… @UCLAstudent101
@rbakk212051 UCSC is known as the “laid back” UC. Which is to say a lot of the kids there are art/music/liberal arts majors who smoke and enjoy the beach. It’s fairly easy to get into and is a step above Riverside, but definitely not on par with any other UC
@mntEden yes so won’t it be easier to get a higher GPA and transfer to UCD, and are extracurriculars needed for transfers ,
@rbakk212051: I would post your questions on the UC transfer thread. A lot of knowledgeable posters whom can answer your questions for the UC-UC transfer process.
Accepted for Computer Engineering (found out around 11:15 am, sorry for posting really late)
Stats are in an earlier page on this thread
Also rejected to UCLA (totally expected it), and waitlisted at San Diego (half expected it)
Now I’m just hoping I get into UCSB.
This is just getting absurd. I have yet to hear from UCI. I applied for their new major, Data Science. Anyone else? I’m interested in comp sci, but data science is a new field that’s expanding and I thought I’d apply, but I haven’t seen anyone else mention it. SAT: 1990 (CR 570, Math 720, Writing 700); SAT II Math 2 710, SAT II Physics 640. Honestly, I’m dying from this because everyone’s hearing back (even people with my stats), and my page is still pending… I feel like everyone hates my CR score… Rejected by UCLA, Waitlisted by UCSD for both Computer Science. What do you guys think my chances are for SB and UCI? Someone please help
