Obviously we SIR to another UC before May 1st. But when do we hear back for waitlist decisions? If it’s after May 1st and we happen to get accepted, we can withdraw that SIR and switch it to Irvine right?

@Lomokuan: You will probably will lose your deposit at the other school, but yes you can switch to UCI if accepted.

Guys, do not freak out. I heard rumor about the admissions in UCI is lottery from my friends…I know it’s shocking. So basically their acceptances have stats that can varied from 1500-2400 SATs, and also can have rejection/waitlist varied from 1500-2400 SATs. I mean every college definitely wants top students to get in,but I feel like UCI is an exception in UC system. It’s pretty unreasonable that both 1500 and 2300 applicants can be waitlisted/rejected. So guys, college admissions can really define an applicant. Do not let colleges define you, but rather, you should define your own colleges.

I am just wondering how good is UCI, I am from New York city, but have no idea about UC schools.I wish I can start my 4 years colleges in California, but I probably have to pay a lot since I am out of state applicant.
