Does anyone know if the UC’s look at your transcript or Self-Reported grades when making a decision? I did send them my HS transcript though.

My son applied as an ME, and the stats for that undergrad major are: 2213 applied, 695 admitted (31.4% admission rate). I can’t find this level of detail on any other UC site, so thanks to UCI for making these figures accessible!
So if my school maybe sent my high school transcript, do they look at it?
@SmartGurl17 i don’t think so why? if you falsified the grades on your self reported transcript that may be grounds for getting rescinded so you should noitify them asap

However, i hope I’ll get into UCI or SB at this point. i know UC’s are getting way more competitive and harder to get in so i’m not alone in that @CopperlineX2 thanks!! i never thought about attending a CC because I have other college options. unless someone is forced to go to a CC, It doesnt guarantee a successful transfer. Ucla is my dream school and I could always try to transfer there from a CSU college or even better, from one UC campus!
Anyway guys, just a reminder that UC’s low acceptance rate is just a way to let us know how competitive those schools are and that they do not have enough spaces for all of us, not a definition of who we are. That doesnt mean that we are not qualified and doesnt lessen us as applicants

@SmartGurl17 all UC schools make a decision based on the self-reported trascript and grades. They said not to send any records unless they say so. Official transcript are needed ONLY upon acceptance and good luck!!!
