No decisions out at 2
@jj1999 which 5 UC’s did you apply
@1010meha @UCIDad thanks for the info! it is good to know all these reviews from kind people who are more familiar with the area. I guess that when choosing a college, apart from the academics and the teaching, it is important to know about the city you are planning to live. Do you know anything about Long Beach, San Diego and Northridge? how are all those places?
Easter week next week and decisions are coming out? woah I hope we will all be blessed!
@Suzimika18 UCSD, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR
just my point of view based on rankings and research. hope this helps
they are all good anyway
I thought decisions were coming out today after 6 pst?
Okay I have a VERY UNIQUE STORY, someone PLEASE help me out. I live in Pennsylvania and I only applied to UCD and UCI. I got into Penn State University before I did my UC application and thought paying double the tuition wasn’t worth it for other UCs such as UCR, UCM, UCSC. Not saying theres anything wrong with those schools, but I luckily got into a good program @ psu and my parents wanted me to go there. However, around February I got an email from UC saying I’m eligible for the Out of State tuition exemption bc my mom is in the army. So now that I could go to UC for CHEAPER I just regret so much that i didn’t applied to more. Yeah, if I knew I will be exempt from paying OOS, I probably applied would’ve applied more but… Anyway, is there anything I can do to be placed in a different campus than Davis and Irvine? Ik Irvine didn’t even come out yet but I got rejected to Davis so I’m not expecting too much. I do strongly feel I’m a strong candidate for the UCs I mentioned above though (3.7 UC 1440 SAT). Thanks!
@thunder41 where did you hear that??
@Owls2017: you can take a Gap year and reapply for next year but there is no way to be placed into another UC campus without reapplying. You never know, UCI may come through for you.
@owls2017 I think you should go to UCSC, if you want to stay in cali. But what’s the program you talking about for PSU- if it’s the Schreyers honors program, then stay at Penn.
Can someone tell me the environment structure of these two campuses: UCI and UCLA. I wanna go somewhere that is more calming, quiet, little “boring” I guess (not into the typical college life). I know UCLA can have students that are like me, but I’m not sure. Also, Uci costs less for me b/c I live so close to it too.
@orionary if you live so close, just go visit the campuses. If you’re in Irvine, UCLA is only an hour and 30 minutes away. You actually have the luxury of just talking a few hours out of a day to go see the colleges you are considering. Go do it.
Talking=Taking
UCLA is like a small city but it still has a beautiful campus. If you really wanted to choose for the quieter lifestyle it would probably be UCI.
Anyone know when decisions are coming out forshure?
@Kynediv if not today then def next week
