***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@fishhappy123 Same here! Accepted into all the rest of the UC’s that already notified applicants, except UCLA. Also got rejected by USC. What were your stats?

No way they can admit 31,103 freshman. I think it is more like 6,500 and that number includes transfers. Don’t know how many transfers there are or how much UCI goes over the amount in order to have a decent waitlist.

i still havent heard back, am i the only one? lol

@aabsku Nope. I’m with you xD

@PenelopeD well, if we’re removing the around 7,100 students that were admitted but then rejected (bc they accepted too many students), then it was around 24,003 students accepted

@PenelopeD

That is what the UC website says(check the link I posted). The number you mentioned is probably the number of the enrolled students not the admitted students.

They admit around 31,000 but only around 6,500 actually enroll so I think the fact that they only admitted 2000 on friday is not a fact at all

anyone else still without ANY update?

@MikeMoon me

@arimidd What are your S’s stats?

film doesnt seem to be a capped major then, which is good but still havent gotten a decision @SmartGurl17 how is it going for you?

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 U remembered me!! :smiley: I’m anxiously waiting for a decision. I hope it comes out today… I have a 50% chance of getting in my major. Best luck to you too- hopefully you receive it today or tommorow! ;:wink:

guys can you explain me this? what happens if you are accepted as undeclared? does that mean that you’ll be later enrolled in a major that has nothing to do wih what you chose at first? so that means that you’ll never study what you wanted to or is it different? just asking though, havent gotten my decisionyet amd this is fustratinf :frowning:

@fishhappy123 I’m still waiting for UCI too

@Localmisfit I heard wed/thu (waitlists and rejections)

@aabsku @RejectsScholar1 same here guys

@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 Once you have enrolled in courses at the end of August (during orientation), you can change undeclared to a non-capped major. It may not be possible to change to a capped major as a continuing student.

@MikeMoon yeah, still no update.

@SmartGurl17 of course I do remember you girl! hope it’s the same for you :slight_smile: idk if I already asked lol probably, how has it been going with your college experience so far? are you satisfied or are we on the same boat? :slight_smile:
yeah, hopefully I’ll hear something. this is getting me down .

best luck!!! :slight_smile: xo

@SmartGurl17 so for example if film is a capped major (just an hypothesis) and they accept me as undeclared, that means that during orientation I cant be a film major (if capped let’s say) so I would have to study something else and rip film? definetely not something I wanna do lol so I’ll keep it in mind. I guess many people uere agree, they arent willing to study something else that has nothing to do with what they previously applied for.
