Any updates on your guys portal yet?
I have completely lost all hope what so ever. NO update even now. Why do they do this? Ugh
Are acceptances going out until Tuesday? And I’m assuming it’s going by impacted majors first since engineering and the sciences are what Irvine are known for.

I’m still uncertain where to go so I’m still waiting and thinking but I will have to take a decision.
I guess what we should think for now is to start college in a great one and then we can always move somewhere else to achieve greater things. We dont actually know how admissions work but I think there are plenty of great colleges out there waiting for us to apply.
I’m trying to keep an open mind on this and think that at the end I will be happy and satisfied with my choice! 
I hope that whatever decision we take, it will bring us the best college experience and so awesome people. I am sure that each one of us will be happy with whatever choice we will make and that we will all end up in a great college, even if it’s not our dream school for now, but we can always be satisfied and happy with it.
And I hope I will meet you all out there!

@PenelopeD yes, they do send out close to 30k in acceptances Hoping to get the 5k or however many they need to actually enroll. Kids apply and get accepted to multiple schools. My own son applied to 9 schools and has already decided against Irvine (but we paid for an application so might as well know the results.)
They have a general estimate of how many will accept but things like last year happen where 500 extra kids commit that they weren’t anticipating. It’s a huge guessing game for them.
Does anybody know how impacted in pharmacuetical science? I applied as undeclared, but I’m planning to join if pharmacy is available. And yes, I know I gotta look at the requirements to get in.
@orionary Pharmaceutical Sciences is capped, but the admit rate is 42% out of 1,299 students from 2017.

Is it true if you got in as undeclared, then you can only get into any major that has spots open? I heard someone said you can declare a major and get out of undeclared on orientation day. Not sure if he meant choosing classes for that major or literal switch on the first day.
Can anyone help me choose between uiuc, UCSB, UCI and UCB (if I get in) for Electrical Engineering. Cost is not an issue.
Anybody know if listing an award you’ve received for a certain club you’re in is considered in the admission decisions? Like any impact with EC and essays?
