Does anyone know if there is a way to increase chances of getting off waitlist? My senior year grades last semester were straight A’s with 5AP’s and I currently have a 5.0 but ik UCI will not look at appeals regarding senior year grades. I don’t know how I got waitlisted.
I have no clue how I got accepted with my crappy SAT and decent gpa, but I am grateful. Was the acceptance rate this year lowered?

Ugh I did an appeal for UW Seattle because it was my top and I got waitlisted and they just emailed me back saying I didn’t get in from the appeal ughhh I have no hope 
My son got waitlisted for Quantitative Economics last night around 8:45pm.
GPA4.1, ACT29(I know it is not great but 35 on Math), SAT Math2 760
Accepted: UCSC
Waitlisted: Cal Poly SLO, UCD, UCSB, UCI(a long waitlist…)
Rejected: UCSD
He did not apply for any other school, so he just has to wait(again).

I’ve been accepted into UCSD and SJSU and waitlisted at SLO, rejected from UCSB, UCD, and UCLA. I’m wondering about my chances for UCI. I’m instate female for Environmental Engineering with Earth Science as an alternate major.
GPA: 3.9 W 3.7 UW (sucks I know but I had a 3.5 sophomore year and 4.3 junior year and a 4.2 this year)
ACT: 33
Decent EC’s with sports and music
Good essays, had them checked by my uncle who was an admissions officer at UC Merced.

Son waitlisted last night. In-state, 3.48 UW, SAT 1420. Applied for Mech Eng.
Rejected by UCSB and SLO
Accepted to SDSU in December and will probably go there.
Also accepted CO School of Mines
Son was wait listed this morning for Biology. Checked portal late last night and it was not updated. Email came at 6:52am this morning.
They update portal at 6.45 am. So they send mail then. Better than other UCs
