***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

If there’s no chance for today, then be prepared for rejections, assuming UCI will be closed on Good Friday and on Saturday.

@cheungy8393 yeah thanks i know – it just hurts right now

and
@lowkeyveryhighkey Firstly, I literally never said CC is filled with “kids who barely graduated”. I said that it hurts knowing that I’m going to be going to the same school as those “kids who barely graduated”. Very diff things man. Secondly, I didn’t think that was rude at all, which is why I said it. And thirdly, congrats on being accepted I guess? Good job showing everyone that stats aren’t super important. Have fun at UCI man.

@lilaclily okie dokie. do you mind me asking, have you been accepted yet ?

3/30/2018 - Cesar Chavez Day holiday - campus closed

nnnn

as more time passes, it’s getting way more likely that the rest are rejections. I hope I’m wrong but that’s just how it feels, especially with the campus being closed on friday bc of a holiday and bc of the good friday thing

It has to be randomized though. It doesn’t make sense to have 2k acceptances, few waitlists…

@EatMyAnteaterUCI " I said that it hurts knowing that I’m going to be going to the same school as those “kids who barely graduated”. Very diff things man." Tell me how this is different?
and thank you. Stat’s are important, but not to the extent of what you believe.

I WANT TO UCDIE

so to be clear no one got any new notifications today?

@lowkeyveryhighkey He means that he had to work hard to earn his grades in advanced placement courses to get into a good college, but if he goes to a community college, then he could just be like the other people who are failing classes and not care.

@cxprus I mean, we don’t know that. Not everyone posts their decisions on CC or /r/A2C, so it’s hard to tell how many have actually been accepted

@lowkeyveryhighkey they’re different bc one is assuming that the dumb HS kids who didn’t care at all fill up ALL of CC, while the other is acknowledging that they are only a portion of the students there (and that smart kids and veterans and older people trying to get their degrees also go there) . man this really isnt that hard to understand.

Uci is the reason I have trust issues

@SmartGurl17 thank you

Tbh there were wayyy too many waitlists compared to acceptances so far. I think there will be more acceptances

Nope, nada. At this point, just relax. If you receive an e-mail stating that there is a status update. Then it’s your turn. I seriously don’t get what the UCs want. It’s confusing. People with high stats get denied (yes it’s unfortunate) so what’s the truth?

I’m tired of feeling anxious, depressed because a school might make a decision that might affect my self-esteem. Just hoping for the best.

There are so many students out there that have taken so many APs and succeeded, but in the end can’t go to their dream colleges and decide to go to a CC. I totally understand that point of view and it must be frustrating! The main idea of CC is that you should focus on yourself, not the people around you. If they fail, whatever, but for you, you have a new mission.

@lowkeyveryhighkey - Congratulations on your acceptance to UCI. I’m sure there’s something unique in your application that colleges like. However, people here with high stats who are being wait listed by UCI have worked so hard for 4 years and did all they could have done just to hear now that ‘grades don’t really matter?’ Of course, they have the right to be upset.

ik UC me but why u gotta Ignore me like that :,(
