Please share your stats. My son wants to apply for biomed engineering.Thanks!

@blueberry22396, please share your stats

@hemingways, please share your stats. Thanks!

Can we take classes at IVC in summer before we start college in Fall?

In socal and no acceptance packet yet

@Gumbymom or anyone else experienced with this process, I am submitting an appeal to 2 UC campuses, one at which I was waitlisted and another at which I was rejected. The website says “The letter must be written and signed by the applicant.” For this, I am allowed to type the letter and then print it out and sign right?

anyone doing waitlist appeals?

also when will they send out acceptances for waitlist? they did end of april last year for ucsb (friend got in like this so…)

Does anyone know when the financial packages will come in?

@stressedsnr: I would type the letter, sign and then rescan into a PDF file to attach to your other documentation.

@kimmmberly123 son’s portal says aid letter should be up within 15 days

Does anyone know what the chances of getting off UCIs waitilist is? Or the chances of a successful appeal letter? Thanks

i got my financial aid today and was sent an email to check my portal

Got my financial aid today… AND I’M SUPER EXCITED. Also got my acceptance letter that came with the stickers <3

@shannypants

Based on @Gumbymom 's post:

No data for 2017 but data for 2016 and 2015 waitlists:

2016:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 8366
Number accepting a place on the waiting list: 4503
Number of wait-listed students admitted: 835

2015:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 7361
Number accepting a place on the waitlist: 4035
Number of wait-listed students admitted: 131

The chances of waitlist acceptance is so small. I would consider another college.

@orionary. I’m not so sure about the waitlisters chances being so bleak. Went to admitted student reception where they posted a 28% acceptance rate, a full 10% drop from last year. With average admitted students having 3.93 unweighted GPA, I think these top students have many options. I expect many waitlisted students will be offered spots

Who already SIR’d?
