28% acceptance rate!?!? That’s insane! A 10% drop is a significant drop!
So I sent a continued letter of interest to them at admissions@uci.edu on 4/4/18, Is there anything else I should do regarding my waitlist?
Pretty disappointed with the financial aid as an OOS, practically nothing 
will likely be committing to Purdue for engineering now, so the California dream will be put on hold for now- good luck and hope everything works out to all!

Reading this thread made me realize how crazy UCI decisions were this year. I applied as a major in biology with a 4.6 W GPA, (3.89 UW), 35 ACT and was rejected :/// But congratulations to everyone who was accepted here! All of you made it through all that craziness haha.
when does uci notify you if you are able to get off waitlist and into the school
@ACTHEMAN usually around late April (April 30) or May 1.
When is the last date to appeal…Apr 15 or May 1st? Does anyone know? @Gumbymom please help…again

Freshmen Selection Appeal
Upload the following items by May 1 and include student name and Application ID number on each sheet of materials submitted:
Letter of appeal clearly stating new and compelling information for appeal consideration, written and signed by the applicant
High school transcript from most recent term; please note the transcript must have course information and grades from fall semester of your senior year and any additional semesters available at the time of appeal
Other additional documentation:
Letters of recommendation are NOT REQUIRED unless requested by our staff to support appeal information

We are. We went to Davis weekend before last, so hopefully my daughter will be ready to decide on Monday.
We aren’t really impressed with Irvine’s lack of communication though.
I just declined my admissions offer from UCI—majoring in computer science. I want to help make a little room for someone who is still hoping to get in. UCI is truly a world class school. Good luck to all of you in the Class of 2022 wherever you choose to go.

I just got an email from UCI that said to submit your SIR and SLR and submit your housing application and reservation fee. Is the reservation fee $350? (I saw that online) And is it required to be paid by May 1st? I’m still waiting to hear back from the UCLA and UC Berkeley waitlist and I don’t want to spend an extra $350 along with the $250 enrollment fee if I’m not 100% certain that I’m going to go there.
