@allrejections I did appeal haven’t heard about either. What’s ur major? Did u appeal as well?
@vallgall the fee is due may 1 and yes on all waitlist offers they tell u to still commit to another university because there is no guarantee. I say just wait until last minute or take ur chances with the waitlist. If you do get in off the waitlist then you lose your deposit fee.

If they deny the appeal, do you remain on the waitlist?
@onederlander yes; the appeal and waitlists processes are completely separate, one does not affect the other. I called to ask questions about this as well. Obviously if you get accepted by either one you are taken off the other but other than that separate.

@vallgall I strongly recommend you do not take your chances with the waitlist, because what happens if you don’t get off? Then you have nowhere to go. Definitely SIR at a school because best case scenario you lose $250 but go to a great college but worst cases scenario you don’t go to college at all because you didn’t SIR and didn’t get off the waitlist. The possibility of losing that $250 isn’t worth the risk
I called and asked and they said waitlist decisions will come out after June 1 because that is the deadline for transfer students to SIR!
When I talked to them they said after May 1st (the last day to SIR for freshman applicants). I’m pretty sure freshman and transfer applications are for the most part completely separate.

I did both and have heard back from neither. I expect they’re getting accurate numbers and recounting etc
