I doubt they will release on tuesday since they say after March 20th. So that would be starting on Wednesday. But we shall see.
ooof a double-double decision date year if UCI and UCSB came out on the same day like UCSD and UCLA. This year is historic.
Plus, I think UCI will have to send a big amount of decisions because March is ending very soon. So maybe decision releases everyday after the 20th.
Kind of bummed as well, got rejected from UCSD and UCLA. Honestly I don’t think I have high chances for UCI. Sophomore yr was awful for me, jumping from a 2.8 gpa that yr to a 4.0 junior yr and a 4.2 as well. Overall I have about a 3.5 UC gpa and I know that’s not very high, 1260 on SAT and various EC and about 100+ hrs of community service. Good luck to everyone!

lol I’m screwed. my stats are super low. like a 3.3 uc gpa due to bad grades for 2 semesters but then I turned it around a got a 4.0 the following semester. I have work experience and good extra curricular and a really good essay. i got rejected from ucsc. got into colorado state, cu boulder, baylor, sonoma state. got rejected from UCSC. I am a political science major for every school except UCSB (I put spanish there). Waiting to hear back from Sac State, Cal Poly Pomona, and beach pathways at CSULB. I made the dumbest choice of putting my major as criminology at UCI which is super impacted but poli sci as an alt. Idk why I even applied to the UC system because it is so impacted but I didn’t really take school super seriously because I come from a single mother 60,000 grand in debt and a drug and alcohol abusing father. Just scared I let that mess up my future. Ok i am done with my rant now.
Did any of you guys get an email from UCI earlier in february asking about financial aid? Does this email go out to all applicants?

@kaitlynwang Yes, I think everyone gotten the financial aid message.Though, nothing needed to be done for mine as everything was received on time it said.
Does anyone know what the East Asian culture major is like at UCI and is it really difficult to get in for that major?
@SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 I heard from my friends attending film school that the one in Hollywood is pretty good. However, it is also very competitive as the opportunities there are very good and if you’re lucky it can bump you into Hollywood.

@myfavoritepet I spoke to film school faculty and they all seem pretty cool. They said they’d call me for an interview. The only thing is… can LA film school be considered a college? I dont know the difference between that school and a college, how’s the teaching compared to a college and few other things like that. Do you know more? That would be helpful for me. The choice is tough.
Where did you guys get the notification that UCI decisions were going to be out on the 20th? I did not get any notification…

I think they are double checking to make sure they don’t make the same mistake they did last year. Who would want to have their acceptances revoked just cause they overdid their limit?
