I also received a scholarship, which I never applied for. But mine is the Directors, and it’s also said May 1 for the SIR. When I check the website, it then said May 1 for freshman and transfer would be July 1…
@mochiil you’re out of state, correct? @iseeghosts you’re a resident of California?
I got it too and it seems 10k for Directors’, 6k for Chancellors’, and 5k for Regents’ with similar benefits, but Directors’ are exclusively for out-of-state students.
did you speak to any admissions counselors? or are you a current uci student? I had a conversation with samueli admissions officials at the uci fall preview who told me that the they do not accept applicants for any major other than biomedical and materials.
Yeah I did speak to admissions counselors. I was told they were accepting applications for second bachelors in EE and that my application would be considered on a space available basis. I’m not expecting admission at this point.
thats interesting. I approached them wanting to applying chemical engineering but they told me that only materials and biomedical were open. perhaps they meant that chem eng was closed and they were just trying to point me elsewhere.
Either way, good luck to you! I’m also waiting to hear back (for materials) and I’ve also lost hope, but I’d love to know your stats and if you get in!
Don’t lose hope! I talked to two people who were admitted as second Bach applicants. They said they got their acceptances on April 26th 2019 and April 27th 2018. So it seems like second Bach applicants usually hear back at the end of the month.
No not yet. But according to CaCollegeTransfer website, in past years some UC campuses missed the April 30th date and notified transfer applicants going into early May … :[
