UC IRVINE Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

I also received a scholarship, which I never applied for. But mine is the Directors, and it’s also said May 1 for the SIR. When I check the website, it then said May 1 for freshman and transfer would be July 1…

@mochiil you’re out of state, correct?
@iseeghosts you’re a resident of California?

I got it too and it seems 10k for Directors’, 6k for Chancellors’, and 5k for Regents’ with similar benefits, but Directors’ are exclusively for out-of-state students.

@JensenW co tact them and ask. That’s odd. You might have misread the first time.

Is anyone still waiting for an admission decision? :pensive:

I am still waiting. Second bachelor’s applicant for EE.

I thought Uci samueli only accepted 2nd bacc students for biomedical and materials engineering

No, that’s not correct

did you speak to any admissions counselors? or are you a current uci student? I had a conversation with samueli admissions officials at the uci fall preview who told me that the they do not accept applicants for any major other than biomedical and materials.

Yeah I did speak to admissions counselors. I was told they were accepting applications for second bachelors in EE and that my application would be considered on a space available basis. I’m not expecting admission at this point.

thats interesting. I approached them wanting to applying chemical engineering but they told me that only materials and biomedical were open. perhaps they meant that chem eng was closed and they were just trying to point me elsewhere.

Either way, good luck to you! I’m also waiting to hear back (for materials) and I’ve also lost hope, but I’d love to know your stats and if you get in!

Don’t lose hope! I talked to two people who were admitted as second Bach applicants. They said they got their acceptances on April 26th 2019 and April 27th 2018. So it seems like second Bach applicants usually hear back at the end of the month.

what did they get in for, if you don’t mind me asking?

Software Engineering

Are we gonna receive acceptance letters/packages in the mail?

Any second bacc applicants receive their decision yet?

nothin yet

No not yet. But according to CaCollegeTransfer website, in past years some UC campuses missed the April 30th date and notified transfer applicants going into early May … :[

I’m a second Bach applicant who hasn’t heard back yet. Are any “regular” transfer applicants still waiting on a decision?

sure seems like its just us second bacc applicants who havent heard back yet.

Could you link me to where you saw that some uc schools took until early may to release decisions?
