I asked an admissions officer when second Bach applicants should expect a response. This is what they said.
" We are working on rolling out admission decisions for second baccalaureate candidates. At this time I do not have a date as to when they will be released. The delay may be due to all second baccalaureate candidates being subject to the approval of the dean or director of the UCI school or program in which the second degree will be earned. "
Thanks for the info. Itās weird, I couldnāt find anything from/about 2nd baccs on the 2018 or 2019 threads. Didnāt realize we were such a new phenomenon.
Hey I sent UCI an update regarding my course plans and they responded with
āThanks for the update. 2nd Bac decisions have not been released yet. They will be released within the next two weeks. Take care.ā
This may be a super stupid question but when do we get a UCI email account for school communications? I have not received my welcome / admit package yet, maybe instructions are there?
I keep seeing that people are getting switched from their first choice major to the second choice major on their portals. I actually wanted to switch from my first choice (Business Economics) to my second choice (Business Admin). Does anyone know if thats possible?

Iām not sure but on the EECS department website it says CSE is part of both schools and itās an interdisciplinary study major so Iām not sure how that comes out

@MISSJOEY Yes! I got the UCI Grant, it shows its from the regents scholarship but Iām not sure if itās the same thing? As I didnāt get it on my acceptance so Iām not sure.
Hey guys I have a question. Is the blue and gold opportunity grant counted as part of my āinstitutional grants?ā If so, since I have qualified for the blue and gold opportunity grant, I wonāt be able to receive any aid from my cal grant A right?
I was previously waitlisted, but just got an email telling me they wanted me to submit my SIR via the admitted students portal.
My SIP is not showing on my portal either.
What is happening? How can I check if Iām waitlisted or admitted?

Damn I think I finally got in today because they messed up my TAG. I got an email talking about scholarship info for future anteaters and my portal is down
I also got an email a few days ago asking me to SIR even though I was waitlisted. Well I checked the portal again today and I was accepted! Very surprised, because Iām definitely on the low end for Irvine Business. But Iād recommend anyone whoās waitlisted and got the SIR email to check your portal because you are likely in.
I just got off of the waitlist and got in as a Business Admin major. I was also accepted into UCSD for Management Science at Revelle. Business Admin at UCI is superior than UCSD Management Science since UCI has an undergraduate business school attached to it. Iām currently debating between whether which one I should go toā¦
